Very creative, Casey! When I noticed you'd done this with a Star Wars book in the background, I wondered which galaxy the race was in. Regardless, I think you're the winner and get the golden cup!

This takes me way back, Casey! I remember using an old typewriter like this to type my papers in nursing school. I think I had to borrow it from someone. Then just before your dad was born Papa had picked up an old one at a yard sale, and I used it to the his thesis for his MBA.

I really, really like this Casey!!! I reminds me of all the times I've had a chance to watch live koi swimming around in a pond. This is a beautiful drawing of one of God's beautiful creations.

Like your grandma, I couldn't figure out what it is, but it's intriguing. I can see the paintbrush concept that Martha saw, but I also see a face every time I look at it. Could be a skinny old man with a long beard hanging down to the cummerbund of a tuxedo. Or, maybe a bird with a long, skinny neck standing behind a podium. Or???

Good job Casey! I think your dad should put this in his office with all the rest of his memorabilia.

This is so good Casey! I wonder if Remi would recognize himself.

Fantastic! You made it look quite realistic! Your great grandma earned her living with a typewriter like this.

Wonderful! I love the shapes, colors and lines of this artwork. It’s a beautiful composition!

I haven’t posted a comment because I couldn’t understand the picture. When I looked at it today I could see a paint brush and white paint. Is that right? Wonderful!

The Stars War icons look cool superimposed on pages of print!

This is wonderful, Casey! I can hardly wait to see the original. It’s your best work, yet!
Posted 3 months ago by Grandma (fan)

Wow! That took some engineering! The top down lighting and shadows are lovely. I can hardly wait to see it folded down.

Great job Casey! Only thing is if I had to climb up those stairs I'd like a bench to sit on and rest at the big landing because it looks pretty steep! You, of course, could just run right up and down multiple times without stopping.

All the shapes have good shading, Casey. I especially like the shading on the can. You did a good job of showing the shadow of the cube on it.

Good goal for New Year's, Casey. I agree the pencils do look great, but really everything is realistic. Soooo much better than I could do - you wouldn't be impressed by anything I tried to draw!

Love it Casey! It sparks my imagination. I can see a toddler tossing a ball for the circle, a Jack-in-the-box popping up out of the cube, a pointer clicking back and forth on a metronome/triangle, and a label on the cylinder telling what's in the can.

You illustrated your lofty goal nicely! The blue pencil is awesome!

Very creative, Casey! Maybe you should go as a snow leopard next time you need a costume!

Casey, I love this! Like I told you it looks like it's 3D even though that's not what you were going for. Since the dolphin on the right is a bit smaller, it looks like it's going to pass behind the larger one that's about to land on his page.

Wow Casey! There's no doubt about who you were drawing - so true to life!!!

Casey! One of my favorites you have done so far. It definitely portrays my dad’s jovial and pure heart. Love it!

Casey, this must have taken forever to draw! All the little squares. You did a fantastic job drawing your Grandpa. He’s going to really appreciate it!

I really like this sea world painting. Very nice friendly dolphins.

Lovely drawing and colors!

I love the expression of the green guy on the right - that 'eye roll' made me laugh. Almost like he is saying, Ohhh, you've gotta be kidding me!"

You are very creative, Casey! The flame is very cool, as well as the animals.

You’re right, Casey. You did make Robin Hood clean and correct! That’s hard to do. Congratulations! The tree is awesome, too!
Posted 7 months ago by Grandma (fan)

I love it! Robin Hood is my favorite and you did an awesome job. I like the words on the page too.

Love it! Takes me back to your dad watching different versions of Robin Hood over and over through the years.

I love this Casey! Not only do the windows appear dimensional but the dragonfly looks like it could be inside or outside.

Very creative, Casey!

This is a wonderful collage. Contrasting colors stand out. Very good.

This is a cool art piece, but I’m not sure I want to be in a neighborhood with such a big owl! The man is in danger!
Posted 7 months ago by Grandma

The window does look open. Good job! Love the dragonfly and green colors.

Wow! Great job, Casey in that art collage of music through the four decades. Very creative and complex design.

I enjoy the interesting details of this poster. Great job!

Good job Casey! I like the 50s and early 60s best, probably because those are my earliest memories and rock and roll was just getting started. In 3rd grade, I remember someone who was very artistic drawing a colorful chalk picture on the blackboard of the 'one-eyed, one horned, flying purple people eater' but you've probably never even heard that song. Then Elvis came along, shocking everyone with his shaking hips on The Ed Sullivan show, and then the Beatles, and then, and then...

I really like this abstract drawing, Casey. Good creativity and designs.

Amazing, Casey! This is the kind of drawing that makes me study it to figure out all the different things it could represent. The first thing that popped into my mind was an abstract ship toppling over to the left because of too many sails.

The water looks so inviting. If I could actually swim I'd love to go for an sunrise dip in it.

Love it Casey! Soooo realistic and I recognized it immediately, even before I read your comment.

This is a beautiful rendition of your couch, Casey!

The trees really do look like palm trees from a distance. The yellow slanted streak of light is cool!

What a great technique with the dots, Casey. I would've never noticed how you did it without your comment. And, I never would have thought of doing it myself either - good job!

I like the look of the gray too, Casey; and I really like the blue shades on the mountains - that's where my eyes go first. Beautiful contrast with all the colors in your palette!

I like your choice of colors, Casey. They really make the picture pop.

Very beautiful and realistic drawing, Casey. Very good.

This is such a great composition! The dark and light shades in the water echo the fish’s black lines and yellows. Nice job, Casey

Good job, Casey; I sure couldn't draw like you do!. Maybe you should design patters for quilts?

Nice, Casey! I love the light/dark contrast, especially the shadows on the violet table.

This is such a neat, orderly drawing! The rope is great!
Posted 2 years ago by Grandma

Good try, Casey! Might I suggest that if you had taken the shot from a lower level, we wouldn’t be able to see into the can. I can’t wait to see more of your artwork.

All are excellent !!

When this gets filled in, it'd make a great pillow or blanket cover!

Casey, I like the laces! Since when do shoe laces ever look neat??? You're really talented!

Casey, I love your art - of course!!! That said, I've been thinking a lot lately about fire in the Bible; so if you are inspired to do any fire drawings, I can't wait to see them!

That drawing is beautiful and creative. I like the music notes along the sides, and the source of water coming from the snowy mountain.
