I can see you worked hard on your OVERLAPPING RAINBOW painting. Your art work caught and kept my attention by making the rainbows not only overlapping but different sizes. I was very impressed that you painted each rainbow completely using the real colors of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet)!

I see your latest artwork was a group effort. Looks like everyone added their own ideas and special touch to show what the environment is like in the Rainforest. Your drawing of the leaves, tree, logs, and flowers added your creativity and interest to the group artwork.

The base of your paper sculpture is white with black painted designs. The simple black and white helps bring attention to the bright and colorful shapes you created when you glued the shapes to the base. I see you used an accordion fold and curled fold. You really showed dimension by gluing a piece of blue paper strip going under and through another shape you glued to your base. The way all your shapes/ folds stand up mean you did a really good job gluing everything down on your paper sculpture.

I have seen what you could make with Play-Doh when you were younger. I was very impressed with your creativity using clay and paint on your recent pinch pot. What really caught my attention was the color combination you used to paint your pinch pot. Orange for the main pinch pot, lavender for the thick edge of the lid, and the surprise of lime green that peeks out from under the lid. I am waiting with excitement to see your next art assignment!

I see you used a new technique in your SLEEPY SELF PORTRAIT. Instead of painting or cutting out shapes and glueing you made a patterned blanket by weaving strips of colored paper “over and under” on a purple blanket. The sleepy face you drew looks like you just woke up ( uncombed hair) but the smile on your face and “twinkle” in your eyes show you ready for breakfast!

I can tell you put a lot of effort in creating your Collage. You had to decide on your color choices, what size and shapes to cut out, and then arrange and glue the shapes on your large blue background. Your Collage is “eye-catching “. I can’t wait to see what you create next!

You painted your Cardinal such a bright happy red! It looks just like the Cardinals I see all winter long from my kitchen window. I hope this winter you will see a Cardinal in your back yard.

Your “Cow” painting reminds me of a KNOCK KNOCK joke… Knock Knock! Who’s there? Cow go. Cow go who? No silly cows go mooooo! What do you call a cow that eats grass?…..A lawn-mooooer! Great creative cow painting… I look forward to your next art creation.

The whole painting gives me the feeling of silliness! The background is painted a variety of colors - is the brush in the sky? In the ocean? In a container of melted ice cream sprinkles? Wearing a silly pink hat? The part that got my attention were the plastic WIGGLE EYES! Yep, you have created a SILLY PAINT BRUSH painting. Job well done!

Your “Mouse Painting” got me thinking…is it a painting of a mouse on an artist’s palette?…OR a mouse getting ready to paint by running through the paint with her feet, tail, and full body…mixing the paint to form new colors?? I can just imagine the messy fun!

Your collage representing the 2 day traditional holiday - Dia de los Muertos - was very creative. You used traditional colors and symbols that represent the event. Your collage made me curious about the holiday and I plan to look on the internet for more information.

In your painting you showed that pumpkins come in different sizes and pumpkins come in a variety of colors. By painting the sky/background blue with white clouds really brought attention to your pumpkins. Your painting made me feel ready to welcome the Fall season. Great job!!

Eden, great job in creating a patterned spider. I see many colored shapes/patterns on the spider’s body. Great fine detail on the spider web…and yes spiders have 8 legs. The SMILE on your spider’s face made me smile. Keep me up to date on your art work!

Eden great job on your “Klimt Inspired Fall tree! You used a perfect color palette and patterns. Your technique using fine lines, swirls, and a wash of Fall colors was following Gustav Klimt’s distinctive style. Thank you for sharing your art creation with me.
