Jocelyn, I love your fantasy mushroom house. The colors you chose are so vibrant and inviting. I'd like to visit this place on vacation! Do your think there would be room for all the aunts, uncles, and cousins, too?

Jocelyn, I love the bright colored mushroom fairy home you created! It looks like a happy place to live. I like how the top of the mushroom reflects the sky. I bet the fairies love to fly in and out amongst the flowers and grasses. How many fairies do you suppose live there? Hmmm, I wonder. Love, Grandma Shelley

Jocelyn, What a colorful artwork! This is the most beautiful mushroom I have ever seen! I like the layers of colors from the blue sky, then the green trees and finally the cool mushroom home with flowers all around. Great job! Love, Grandpa Jim

I really like how you painted your eyes show thoughtfulness. Were you thinking about spending time outside on warm, spring days? The blues and greens remind me of laying on my hammock looking up at the sky and new leaves on the trees. It feels calm and peaceful.

Jocelyn, You did a great job on your skin color, brown hair and beautiful big eyes. I love the colors you chose for your thought bubble. Were you thinking of spring/summer with the various greens of new growth and blues like water at the pool, lake or sea? I would love to know your thoughts. Love, Grandma Shelley

Great job on your portrait of Dali and his crazy mustache! Have you seen a picture of when your dad grew a handlebar mustache like that? His wasn't nearly as long, though. I really like how you used bright red for the background to contrast with the black and white portrait.

Jocelyn, I laughed when I saw this guy's long curly mustache! Great drawing and shading of this person! He seems happy! Is he looking at his own mustache? Should I grow my mustache this long and curly? Love, Grandpa Jim

Jocelyn, I love your impressive painting/drawing of Dali and his crazy mustache. I wonder what he used to curl it with? A curling iron? His smile tells us he really likes it that way. Do you think daddy could grow one this long? Great job! Love, Grandma

Jocelyn, I love your ‘Snowy Range” painting! It reminds me of many vacations to Colorado Grandpa and I have taken to see the mountains. They are my favorite place to go. The snowy mountain tops look so pretty! Your houses have a little snow on their roofs too. I hope the fish are biting at the lake for those in your family who love to fish! Love, Grandma Shelley

I love how you mixed the colors to create new colors! The starry sky is beautiful. I wish I could visit a place like this and stay in one of the cozy, colorful houses. I would pick the orange house.

Jocelyn, Wow this a crazy cool orange world! I see the pencil (I think) drawing lines on city walls? You must really like orange. I like the tower in the middle or is that a creature? Good job and imagination! Love Grandpa Jim

Nice work on your cityscape! Orange was the perfect color for you to use. Did you wonder what all can be seen from the top of that TALL building? I'm sure the view from up there would be spectacular!

Jocelyn, I am not surprised that your cityscape is orange. You love this color. I like the eyes on the tall building as it can see all around the city. Is it taking notes with the pencil of what is going on down below? Great job! Love, Grandma Shelley

Jocelyn, I love your dog Spots! And all the colors in Spots’ hat! Is Spots getting ready for colder weather? Do you think Winnie would like a Dalmatian housemate to share guard duties with and romp around the yard together? Maybe ask mom and dad! Love, Grandma Shelley
