I could not find what the assignment was for this character. But I do like that he is a happy and whimsical cartoon. I also like that you gave him motion with the raised arm—looking like he is rewarding someone with a star. Good job!

Papa says “pretty cool”. We are wondering why you would choose that to sketch. Kidding! Is it something to do with basketball &/or a certain player? You & Papa need to talk.

Very creative! Would the title have something to do with your favorite pastime &/or sport? It is good that you used various techniques in making this sculpture: a flattened surface for the base, upright structures for each end, and the sphere shape in between. Very good work!

Very smooth handling of material. Artistic job. Also, your choice of color combinations is very nice. It will add fun to any desk, table or shelf.

You knew that I would really enjoy your purple flowers, but I was surprised by the stages of development you included: from the seed pod-looking one on the left to the puffy-looking one on the right with the 3 various ones in between. I also, like the other colors you added but kept them subtle (not too much brightness) as well as their variations in height. Well done, grandson!

What a beautiful snow globe! I wish it could turn into a real one! The rich purples & blues set the scene for the gray mountains in the background while the white snow shows off the critters and trees in the foreground. Papa & I both like the addition of the animals! And, also, very good work on showing the shadows!

This is a beautiful rendition of the first Christmas! It is so colorful that it would make a dazzling actual stained-glass. The warm colors emphasize the focal point of Baby Jesus & the cooler colors outside that ray of light make a wonderful composition! Well done!

Oh, your tree is so full of life and exuberant color! I can see it as a stained glass panel because it’s so bright and would reflect the light in your prism colors! You did a beautiful rendition of Mondrian—in your own style. Well done!

Papa & I really enjoyed your unique pumpkin! We noticed the care that you took on the black small-parts design on the pumpkin. Also, the zig-zagging edges of the purple & blue background radiating out made it stand out. We look forward to seeing all your future art projects!

I really enjoyed your Christmas nativity scene. It is beautiful from the stars in the deep-blue sky looking down on baby Jesus to the animals surrounding the stable! This artwork shows the true meaning of Christmas! Well done!

Oh I liked this piece with all the vibrant colors so much that I requested it as a gift from Papa at Christmas! It will be fun to see if you can spot it when you visit us!

Wow! What a beautiful sky behind your cityscape! I also like the colors & shapes that you made the buildings. You made the windows go from green on the right to include blues & purples as you moved to the left. That really made the windows & the buildings very eye-catching! What a joyful city that I’d like to visit!

Ha-Ha! I like the title of this project: Not A Box—Not A Stick. It is a tricky challenge when given box-shapes & sticks! You created a pleasing composition with rectangles & wooden long, thin objects! Bravo!

Mimi really likes your collage! It reminds me of little robot critters that are turtle-like. It is also nice that you put that burst of purple at the top. It makes me think of a flag. Great work!
