Wow, such depth and thought went into this portrait! I love the connection to Uruguay; I know where the scene is! ?

I love this zine! I first learned about zines from one of my students. It seems like a super fun way to express your thoughts, interest and feelings. You put so much care and detail into your zine!

I somehow missed commenting on this sculpture. It's wonderful! I love how you thought of every detail from every angle. There's a lot of meaning to unpack from it.

Wow!!! I need to learn some of these concepts! Looks like it's shattering as if smashed against a surface. It is super cool how you can create that illusion with your art.

This one reminds me of Dali's paintings :)

Wow! Quite the perspective! And such a well furnished and designed bedroom. Love it.

This is a great perspective, it really reminds me of when I learnt to draw the first landscape perspectives. I think i drew telephone poles at that time rather than trees. I remember the feeling of magic drawing the line of telephone poles toward the vanishing point

This is an amazing looking sandwich! It makes me hungry! I realize now that i missed several of your art pieces.

What a great cityscape! Looks like our old stomping grounds of Chicago.

I love this landscape! Especially the color of the sky.

I find your colors and layering not unlike Van Gogh with a hint of Monet. Lovely all around. Great job…

Wow!!!! This is wonderful! I like how you even drew the inside of the lunch bag! The images and the dialog all really have the feel of a comic strip. And it's funny, too! Great job!!!!

Oh, my goodness, Charlotte, this is amazing!!! I could tell it was Taylor Swift right away! You are learning so much this year!!!

Beautiful! It makes me want to dance with her. I thought: “That looks like Char, dancing and leaping.” This piece could very well illustrate the story “The red slippers”.

Oh I love it Char! The perspective is great! I remember when I first learnt to draw with a vanishing point. There is a magic to it. I also enjoy how you chose to show motion with the dress and the flying hair. I showed all your work to Uncle Jim. He loves the "bruised banana" moon in the cityscape and your description of the stars in the sky.

I absolutely love this piece! Especially the shirt, but the whole composition, the face, the details, the color, the shadow, so much creativity coming through!

Love it, love it, love it. I very much enjoy when a technique inspires creativity and surprises one with the result.

Excellent use of shadowing in the nose and glasses. Very cool looking. The shirt pattern is on fire. Great job.

I like it! Banana and all:) I agree, it reminds me of illustrations in children books. I love the density of the buildings and all the lit windows and I really enjoy your explanations and comments.

I see a dragon! I like the strangeness of this monster, but also like very much your comment on the challenge of giving it a good foundation to stand on, you sound like an architect...lol

It is so great to see the results of you exploring new ways of making outside of what you are comfortable with or know. You go Choon! Thank you for sharing!

I love this piece! I really like how you described your process, too. It's wonderful to explore new ways of creating, it expands our minds. ??

The Louvre called me today and said they want their art back!!! This looks great!

What a lovely art piece! The colors… the way the snake stares out of the picture… It brought memories of one of my favorite childhood movies: The Jungle Book. Thank you Char. Looking at your painting makes me smile.
Posted 2 years ago by Gaby

I really love this art piece! Did the snake appear from the abstract? Or did you hide it in the abstract? Either way, I love the colors and energy, and how sneaky it looks, just like real snakes!
Posted 2 years ago by Moira (Mother)

These are all great! Love the abstract shapes, and the details in blue that give each their distinct personality.

Love, love, love this drawing! Love the colors and the snake that emerged from the choice of colors.

It looks like an Angel fish! It is cute, it looks like the fish version of Snoopy's Woodstock. :)

This looks like hard work! I don't know that I could draw a monster, let alone from different angles!

This is a beautiful cover! I look forward to seeing the whole portfolio when it's done.
