I like the zigzag shapes in this one. and I see it says Welcome to the Concert. Very fun and like a graphic novel in style. Nice work! Love, Ama

Owen, this is very different from anything else you’ve done! Harvest Wagons reminds me of another artist who liked blue. His name is Marc Chagall and you and Papa or Mama should look him up and see his paintings. Love, Ama

Dear Owen, I like this project very much, and I see that your fields of tulips go away into the distance just like Monet’s. I look forward to seeing this painting for real! Love, Ama

I have ordered a coffee mug with this art on it. I hope it comes to the Cabin soon so I can enjoy a hot mug of coffee surrounded by Owen’s Art. ~Grandpa

This one is active and linear. I’d love to know if there is a story attached to the work? ~Grandpa

Owen, your dramatic sky and vibrantly colored flower fields make the artwork exciting to look at and interesting to study. Your representation of a windmill is centered and draws the eye of the viewer. Your work is getting more and more interesting as you grow your artistic values. ~Grandpa

Your mug looks warm and inviting. I especially like all the different shades of red and purple in this painting. The contrast with the yellow on the right is very effective. This is one of my favorite paintings of all you have done.

Dear Owen, I like this newest art you have done. I wore my gray and red T-shirt with Art by Owen on it this week and my lady friends loved that red forest! They couldn’t believe you are only seven.

That is outstanding work. The combination of colors and action draws me in to the picture as though I am standing in the forest. I’m glad you signed the work, too.

Owen, your art tells a big story all on one page! This scarecrow has just scared a crow, I see. The variety of color makes me want to look at the picture again and again. Good work!

This shows lots of action, like Charles Russell’s work. I love the contrast between the central character and the rest of the farm.

Ama says, “The artist has great empathy for insects.” This appears to be an unhappy firefly in a jar.

This is a wonderful image of a kitten! I would like to know more about what the kitchen is holding, and what is above the kittens ear.

The movement of the color from left to right and then echoed on the right edge gives the subjects life. The strong black contrast with the bright yellow makes the page sing!

The big parrot’s body uses the “D” shape! I like the resist technique very much. The watercolors give us beautiful blends of different shades of color and your lines show the feathers. Nice work, Owen!

Mr.Paintbrush is a nice way to remember the parts of a paintbrush with a collage. I like it that he has a face; at first, I thought he was a spooky tree!

This is a lovely painting. It makes me think of being underwater in the ocean. I hope Owen paints more flamingos, too.
