Theo’s take on Yayoi Kusama’s signature dot art seems to take on new life with the rapid pointillism dots in the background of this autumnal work. Theo signals to his youth and vitality in the direction of a striking teal; a color many artists stray from. But not, Theo! His color choice is bold and unapologetic. This hot teal blue could harken back to his Blue Era from his Fall 2024 portfolio but might usher in something new for 2026!

Theo, your sailboat picture is beautiful. It reminds me of sunsets I often see in Florida!

I see your favorite color is your background and also the name of your silly Paintbrush. I hope you enjoyed decorating this everyday object.

Move over, Monet because Theo is on his way to artistic greatness. Truly, he has (wax) sealed his way into the best gallery walls at the Louvre. If Kandinsky believed that an artist could express themselves with pure abstraction then Theo would surly agree. However, here we see the artist has given form and function to his wax swirls as well as a nod to the infamous color scheme known as Roy G. Biv. A welcomed exit from his Blue Period, Theo’s art is inviting more color to the canvas and we can’t wait to see what he creates next!

1901 to 1904 marked Picasso's "Blue Period" where a majority of his works showcased monochromatic blue tones. Could this Penguin mark the start of Theo's "Blue and Cold Color Period?" Similar to his mixed media painting, "Rocketship," Theo pushes against the outer black frame and places tension between the penguin's blue blocked arm and the black frame giving the central penguin's figure a more 3D quality despite his cubist shape and 2D status. Theo is bold in his artist choices. Here we see that he has left out his artist signature in the top left corner and instead has the penguin looking in the direction. Here, Theo symbolizes the importance and validity of an artist and begs the question, "Is art truly seen if the artist is unknown?" We cannot wait to see if Theo's "Blue Period" will continue. Art critics and fans wait in anticipation for his next work to be released!

Wow! I love all the colors Theo used in this mixed media work! I enjoy how he put his name in the top left corner instead of a traditional painting that puts the artist's signature in the bottom right. He is thinking outside of the box and isn't afraid to push traditional art conventions! The use of 3 red planets balances well with the blue moon and three dimensional/out of frame fiery tails of the rocket. Theo is a great artist and shows incredible promise in the field of fine art. I can't wait to see what he makes next! You are amazing, Theo!
