Cool, Ruthie! Even cooler in person. Your mother liked making art out of clay, too. And I love anything made of clay, as you know from all of my pots and vases. Keep up the amazing work!

Grandpa and I really like your pictograph! Your interpretation is spot on. We can just imagine it on a cave or cliff wall like a petroglyph from thousands of years ago.

Awesome pictograph! We saw ones like yours in Joshua Tree.

I love the colors of your bowl! It reminds me of the beach and beautiful Portuguese tiles. Great job, Ruthie!

Oh my goodness! The best Chinese dragon I have ever seen! Way to go, Ruthie!

Oh! Ruth had a photo taken with her artwork in hand. She elevated her left eyebrow to mimic her emoji in the photo. That is a great feat! Most people can't do it. Her explanation is that she is able to do this because she "has extra bones"! Title of the work is "confused".

Love it!

Love your modern art painting, Ruthie! Mondrian is one of my favorite artists, but you are my most favorite artist! Let’s see his paintings at the art museum next time we go.

No doubt, I am partial as Ruth is my favorite granddaughter! Her art work stuns me! Her grasp of the topic and depth of her understanding never cease to amaze me. The detail and colors are simply amazing. Kudos to her art teacher!

Oh, my goodness, Ruthie. Love it, love it, love it. You are so creative and talented. Grandma and Silly Grandpa.

Being her grandpa, I am consistently amazed by this young mind. Looking at this scene, note the dark blue line that separates water from sky. Below the brush strokes are sparser and more horizontal than above. One sailing vessel is in the forefront; two others are faded into the distance.Clouds are outlined and the sun casts an erie light through the mostly watery sky. Her talent is remarkable. Then you have to consider that she is my granddaughter. I am partial!
