There is SO much that I love about this piece that I hardly know where to begin. The overall spirit of this is highflying fun, conveyed so expertly with the expression and gesture of the figure, and the shapes that reach to the sky as well. The cool vivid blues and blue-green, against the white jagged shape, create a feeling of coolness and beauty. I think I love the shapes within this piece most of all! The repetition of the u shapes in the background and also in the person provide harmony to the composition, with the jaggedly shapes providing subtle difference that adds interest. The person provides a spirited focal point by virtue of the contrasting warm colors and delightful happy expression and the star on the shirt, while the stylized rendering is in keeping with the rest of the painting. The text at the bottom provides the story, which is additive, though I would love this painting even without this as it tells a story on it's own. This artwork is amazing!!

What a striking abstract work of art!! It's fabulous! I love the texture and multiple colors and layers peaking out from under the dark overall color that gives cohesion to the piece. But the one diagonal strip of vivid light yellow -- perfectly situated for excellent composition-- makes the piece truly awesome! This is a highly sophisticated piece of art. Well done!!

This is an amazing work of art! The shape is the first thing that grabs my attention because it is creative and unusual. It is like a starfish shape for a work that has an underwater theme, with delightful schools of fish and coral and a beautiful under-the-sea landscape. Your choice to use warm colors with vivid pinks and blues creates an enticing fantasy world that I want to visit! Overall, this is a lovely piece!!

Wow! This piece is magnificent!! It is so fun and whimsical!! I love the expressions on the faces of the snow-people and on the round ball peaking down from the top appearing to be watching the playful fun in the snow. The snow appears as though it has texture -- it appears so fluffy. I also love the horizontal strips of purple and green and blue that have interesting textures and give depth and grounding to the painting. The cool colors help give an overall cool feeling to the image, with the neutrals providing calmness. The house in the background is located just right for great composition and gives depth to the scene as well. Overall, this is a fabulous work of art!! Great job!!!

Wow!!! Penny, this work is amazing!!! I love the complexity and juxtaposition of the abstracted portrait with the more realistic side. The colors are vibrant (purple, green and orange/red is always a great combination) and nicely integrated with the purple on both sides. Really exceptional piece!!! Great job!!!

Penny, I really admire your new work of art, snow globe. The many overlapping shapes -- of many variations-- inside the globe, some with transparent colors, others which are opaque, and with various colors, shades, and tints, make for a highly engaging image. The white opaque background also has interest in the variations of color that provides beautiful texture. The overall round shape of the work is highly imaginative and compelling. Overall, I love this piece!

Penny, I love your new work of art, Pumpkin Weaving. The Pumpkin is wonderfully constructed with the various and harmonious colors weaved in and out, and the detail of the stem and leaves. I especially love the "side pumpkins" that have great variety of color and repeating shapes. The overall image is fabulous!!

Penny, Your lego self-portrait is SO compelling! I love the joyful expression on your face and the gesture you have been able to achieve with the body! The proportions are amazing and how you have incorporated the "lego" aspect into the portrait is just genius!! And the background you have created is mesmerizing and adds an energy to the piece which is fabulous. The repetition of shapes is awesome. You are already truly an artist!
