This was a fun learning experience for him. We talked about the things going on in the country/world and really just opened up the floor to discuss both our thoughts and feelings about it all. Especially with some of his extended family/Grandfather being from Mexico it was just an important discussion to have and he chose this project to represent that part of himself in hopes to spread a message of love.

This is SO COOL! I remember when he came home and told me about learning about Basquiat! He was SO excited and drew in his style for quite some time afterwards!
