I like that there are so many things going on in this picture, and the way they are arranged. Is that ZOZU in the green cloud? And what is that little red and white shape with arms springing out? Fantastic! I love the way this young artist uses bright colors.

I am so interested in the way Theo has used perspective in this work. In particular, his little fishes! For example, the purple one, center-right, seems to be in 3/4 profile, and the little red and yellow one is headed downward facing the viewer. This is fine work!

Once again, I note Theo’s bold use of space. Look at that arc of dots, carefully graduated in size, that draw the viewer’s eye through the whole composition and seem to set the bug itself in motion. How did he do that!?!

I love this drawing by Theo! The saturated colors really pop, and I count four different kinds of lines intersecting and weaving through the composition — such creative use of space! I look forward to more work by this young artist.
