I recognize the art work that you used for your inspiration. Both artists have had a huge impact, and your combination of their work in yours is a creative melding of styles. Studying the work of other artists is a good way to learn, and it seems you've picked up on some of the distinctiveness of Haring and Hopper. Well done!

I love the branches coming out of the treehouses! What fun it would be to climb to the top and sit on that balcony. I wonder what I could see from there! You used perspective in an interesting way.

Another wonderful piece of art! I particularly like the branches that are growing in and out of the houses. Keep up the good work!

Your ability to capture this cephalopod is outstanding! I almost expect it to swim off the page. And the sea star and sponges are a great complement to the octopus, too. Excellent work. Worthy of framing.

Thomas, I love your watercolor, the detail and the colors. Watercolor is a hard medium to work with. I am impressed. Nana

I love the variation in the colors of autumn, and the way they contrast with the blue of the sky. I think I want to walk on the leaves to hear them crunch!

I didn’t do it! I didn’t eat Thomas’s candy bar! But it looks like someone could have - it’s so well done! I can almost taste it. But I promise, I didn’t!

I just love this card! It expresses the kindness of Santa and the joy of gift-giving and receiving within the context of a game that’s familiar to most kids. Great attention to detail, too!

Thomas......your best work yet! Love it!

This made me laugh! What a fun project! It looks just like what a Thomas Funko Pop would look like!

I love Thomas as a Toy. The triangles draw me into the scene. Their sharpness lies easy on the softness all 'round. Space and his hair look fuzzy. I appreciate the circles counterbalancing the angles Two large spheres anchor the scene - coming down and in to Thomas's two big eyes. I look forward to the final coming together of the circles in the single. center, but no. It's there, small and off to the side. It seems pointed at the viewer, like the Pixar figure

Buttery goodness! Creating this three-dimensional project must have been a challenge. It looks perfectly browned, and I like the pat of butter on top.

How interesting that this is just variations of red and white! The shading and highlights really give depth and dimension to the cupcake. Cherry, strawberry, or raspberry?

Thomas, I really like your cupcake. It’s so realistic that it makes me hungry. You are so talented. Nana

Very imaginative and colorful! Great job!

Looks like a solid meal! It’s interesting how you used paper pieces to not only create the shapes of the food, but the highlights and details, too! Let’s eat!

Yum! I surely could eat that. And not just for breakfast! I love the very realistic shape and toasty buttery coloring

What a creative combination! I felt myself taking a deep breath as if I could smell the cakes in the bakery, and imagined what it might be like to be tantalized by the smell of baked goods every day! I particularly like the detail of the clapboards on the side of the woman's house, as well as the depiction of the wafting aroma from the bakery.

This drawing creates a mood! And I really like the lamp detail and shading.

This is an intriguing piece. All the patterns work beautifully together to create the mosaic of the whole! What an interesting challenge. I’m impressed!

I really like the colors and patterns you made within each square creating interesting lines and shapes but still managing to create a self-portrait. We should go see his work together at the MOMA in the city - they are enormous paintings, and you will really appreciate the labor involved after making your own.

This painting is intriguing because it made me look at it for a while, and I looked for symbols and characteristics that brought my attention to different parts of the painting. I wondered what the artist was thinking about in the creation of the painting, and what the details meant. It reminded me of mathematics symbols and musical notation, too!

Adding the additional pumpkins gives more depth and perspective to Thomas’s drawing. Watercolor is a tough medium to work with as it is unforgiving if you make a mistake. I really like the way Thomas did the sky and the contrast between it and the green grass.

This latest piece gives me a happy fall feeling, and reminds me of the beauty in a simple pumpkin. The decorative details show that the old fashioned tradition of a smiling face is not the limit to what can be done with a pumpkin. Thank you for your creative expression!

Another WOW!!! Your attention to detail is superlative. Keep it up!

Wow! This is so detailed! I'm impressed by the astronaut and the rover, and how the surface of the planet is depicted! I also think the lettering is carefully done and I like the stellar detail at the top of the O. Looking forward to seeing more from this talented young man.

Thomas……this piece is absolutely magical! I love how you portrayed the moon and it’s glow. Keep up the great work!

Thomas has painted a beautiful night scene The moon, of course captures our eye first. And draws us into the concentric rings which pulse with almost audible waves. The snowman’s happy solidity offers a perfect balance, while echoing the circles I like the wavy snow horizon This painting fills me with a peaceful joy

Love the blue gradient and the circular pattern - very calming.

I like the moon glow that illuminates the snowman, and the moon shadow it makes. Nice gradations of color surrounding the moon. The snowman’s smile makes me think he really likes being outside on a cold night!
