This wonderful work of art was inspired by Williams trip to nana's fishing camp in Minnesota . turns out he is quite the fisherman. Camp will be open again this summer.

I'm pretty sure this is a fish he caught in Red Rock Lake last summer. Fish seem to be a common theme in his artwork, and how creative is that.

Love it! I think this fish is waiting in the lake for you!

This is a very cool cat!

This is a really clever drawing filling all the space with shapes and colors while telling a story about a cat and a fish (hungry?) I love it. I am impressed about his approach to the artwork staying away from a small doodle in the center and expanding his originality over the whole paper. I am jealous.

Sailboats!! He must feel the sailing gene in his body from Grandpa.

I love the sailboats on the lake. Reminds me of many hours with your Great Grandfather out on the water. I can feel the wind in this piece.

Your fish must be a rainbow trout with all those colors. I don't think I have ever seen one quite like this in red Rock lake.

I love this. I had hoped to have time to do this art with real leaves when you were here! But we found some fun ways to play with leaves - remember sledding?

William has a wonderful sense of color and an unfiltered feel for design. I’m glad he is getting such creative support from his teachers.

I am so impressed by Williams artwork, and also the creativity of his art teachers. This is some amazing stuff. I almost fell out of my chair when he told me he was doing Piet Modrian constructions. A little bit of everything, but mostly an unfiltered path to personal creativity.
