Hi Deegan, What a cool watercolor. Your grandpa must have influenced you. I love how you showed the shadows of the objects. Keep it up! Miss you! Auntie Chris

Now that you're done with Dryden, you don't have to be done with Artsonia. Keep adding your masterpieces to your digital portfolio here! I'll join your fan club so I can see the wonderful things you make:) Play hard, sketch lightly!

Hi Deeg, This is a beautiful tile. The colors are bright and complement each other. I really like the way you textured the corners...it almost looks woven. This would look great in my office...hint hint!! Have a great trip to Hawaii...I miss you. Aunt Shell

Hi Deegan, I love your "doodle" for google. The sports theme is great and you have been very creative in using those items to fit into the letters. I hope that you are enjoying the rest of the winter and that spring is coming soon.....we have SNOW with capital letters and we are expecting more this week. Love you, Aunty Shell

Deegan, This is fantastic. I can just imagine sailing on this boat across the seas. The details in the ship are incredible, and I really like how you painted the sky behind it.

Hi Deeg! This is really a great rocket!! I love the colors and the different shapes that you used to make the different parts of the ship. Triangles, circles, cylinders, rectangles and I have probably forgotten several others. Great job. Can't wait to see you in another 6 weeks. Love it...Aunt Shell

Deeg,
I like this, it looks so happy with the green window shaped like a smiley mouth! Maybe you will become an engineer and actually design this and someday see it launch into space. Or...maybe you will be the astronaut that rides in this futuristic spaceship!
Very cool, Mom

Hey Buddy...this is pretty cool! I didn't realize you had blue eyes! This is very good Deegan...really. The shadows are good on the face, and a great nose....you know they say that's the hardest thing to paint on a person. Looking good bro! see ya soon! Lola

Hey Deegan, This is really difficult to do. Grandpa made several self portraits over the years and so he would appreciate this very much. You will have to drop by his house and show him how to view this. Van Gogh did this too....only I think he still had his ear at that point. I like how you were able to get the perspective of your face...not quite straight on...! You have the makings of another great artist. Congratulations, Aunt Shell

Very Cool Deegan....very geometric alignment! I sat and looked at in for awhile trying to decide which dog I liked the best! But, I guess that is what you are supoose to do with a piece of art like this. I finally decided that I like the orange dog the best. Hope you have a great summer dude....will I get to see you any? By the way, Thanks Deegan for sharing you artwork with me this year....I have really enjoyed seeing it! Lola

CONGRATULATIONS on earning an award from Artsonia. That is terrific! I never would have received an award for art because even though Grandpa is a great artist, his talents were not passed on to me. I am really proud of your efforts in being creative in so many different mediums. JOB WELL DONE. Have a great summer and I hope to see you soon, Aunt Shell

Hi Deegan, working with clay is really tough. I tried to make a clay pot and ended up with a plate...it was not very attractive!! I think this mask is very cool. This reminds me of the primitive African masks that I saw at the Smithsonian. Maybe one day you could put it on and we could get a glimpse of you underneath this "Darth Vader-ish" identity. Great job once again, Love Aunty Shell

Hi Deegan, This looks like one of Uncle Keith's dive masks. See you soon. Aunt Celeste

Hi Deegan, Your attention to detail is incredible! The watch, nails, palmar crease (line on the white hand that shows his thumb is moved inward to hold the other guy' shand), and knuckles on the black hand, demonstarte what a great eye you have. It's hard to believe you are only in the 4th grade! Hope you had a terrific time in Florida! Love Aunt Jessie.

Deegan: The minute I clicked open this painting I was thrilled. It is awesome. I think of everything you have done this year I like this the best.....maybe its because it reminds me of the politics this year. Anyway, its great......thanks for sharing! Lola
