Hi Sweetheart, I am so glad that you and all the second graders at Lee School had the opportunity to go to Kansas City to the jazz museum. Your drawing of Duke Ellington is so good. Keep drawing , reading and wrting. When I was a second grader, I had no idea who Duke Ellington was, and I certainly would not have been able to draw a picture of him. I am very proud of you. Love you so much and miss you even more. xoxoxoxo, Gram

I remember our conversation about Duke Ellington! Not too many kids your age are into jazz. Hey...are you playing on the keyboard? Ramsey is still "strumming" his guitar! Happy Easter to you and everyone in the family.

Hi Sweetheart, I meant to get over to Penny and Ramsey's house before now. Your diorama of a habitat is very interesting and creative. Tell me a little about it? Could you write a story about it? If you write a story, I want to read it. The Kandinsky has some very heavy strokes of black paint. You had mentioned on the phone, one color. Did Kandinsky use one color in his paintings? Daddy told me about you putting Leo's birthday present together for him. That is really sweet of you. Love you very much, Gram

Isaac...your Matisse cut-out reminds me of the last project my students completed! They created their own Medusa masks...she was the one with snakes as her hair! They had pop out noses, eyebrows, etc. all in the form of snakes!! I really like the green and the white...really makes your work "pop!" You have created some very interesting work this school year. We look forward to viewing your artwork when you are in second grade. Keep creating this summer! Penny and Ramsey
