Katie- I like your self-portrait. Were you wearing a heart necklace the day you drew it? or did you decide to add that? I like that the sun is shining and the tree is full and green. I have seen many portraits - most of them were of people I never knew. So I would wonder, what the real person was like. This reminds me of the story of the catepillar who brags to everyone that she will change one day into something else. Meanwhile, the tadpole, who is the only one who listens patiently to her, changes as well into a frog. Thanks for sharing your pretty butterfly.

Katie, This is my favorite picture so far. I love birds and I think your picture is so sweet of the mommy bird taking care of the baby bird. Is she feeding her baby bird or maybe kissing her baby? I would guess that she is feeding her baby because I see the bird seed on the ground. I bet that is her big sister beside her. She is watching and making sure everything is OK. I think your artwork is beautiful. I hope you will send me some more pictures soon.

Ooooh Katie, your artwork is beautiful! I just love your tree with all the fall colors. Fall is my favorite time of year and I can't wait until our leaves start to turn colors just like yours. I see where your leaves are already starting to fall to the ground. I have a tree in my backyard doing the same thing.

Katie- This picture reminds me of the trees in Connecticut, where I grew up. Every fall, the leaves would turn beautiful, deep, bold colors-just like your tree. Your picture makes me smile remembering just how beautiful the trees are. When the leaves fell from the trees, we would rake them into a big pile and then run and jump into the middle. Out we would pop, laughing, all covered in colored leaves. It turned raking the leaves, which was hard work, into fun! Thank you for sharing your picture with me. Love, Nana
