Ethan - it looks like you camping trip up in the mountains was really fun for you. The mountains in the back ground are so nice and large! The warmth of the campfire and well built tent makes for a good camping time.

Now this is indeed one fancy bug! He looks like he could jump from leaf to leaf with all those legs, or he could fly from plant to plant if he wanted to exercise those wings. I love his squiggly antennas....they give him some real buggy style! You should give him a name..he is quite special! Super job, Ethan!

This is a very interesting artwork, Ethan. My eye was immediately drawn to that lovely juicy red watermelon....and then I noticed that there was something sitting on it. It's a bird! A very colorful bird! Perhaps he loves the sweet flavor of that watermelon ...I know I would certainly be eating it! I like all the tropical colors you've used here. This is a happy piece of artwork. Great job, Eth! Love, Grandma Nancy

Eth I love your little dude!!! He has so much personality.... So alive and fun. I can see him using all his body moving on land and in the sea. How did you make something that makes me feel this way. The pipe cleaner makes it look like hes swmming in a leafy environment. The colors ar so warm as well. You are so talented and creative. I love this little guy!!

Ethan, I love how you have turned a round snowman into a cube shaped snowman. And all the cubes are so carefully balanced, and you have included just enough detail so that we know he's a winter snowman! Well done! I love his fancy stick arms, the vibrant colors you have used and his sporty striped hat. He is one great Picasso- style guy! You should be very proud of him. Keep up the good work...I will look forward to seeing your next great project! Love, Grandma Nancy

What a special kitty you have made, Ethan! I love him! He does look cozy in his scarf. And I like the fact that he is wearing a tag. That way he can be identified if he goes outside and gets lost for a bit. He probably also is wearing a little chip with his name and address on it under his fur. He looks perfectly happy. I love how you drew his nose and mouth. You must have been paying close attention to Grandma Franca's kitties to notice how cat noses and mouths are formed. He...or she, is a beautiful little kitty! Great job on the whiskers too! Keep making all the wonderful artwork. It makes me happy to look at it! Love, Grandma Nancy

I just saw this, Ethan! What a great ice cream cone! You did very well with your values….they are kind of tricky aren’t they? Your ice cream drips look just right and I love how you showed the shape of the cone part by making your texture lines follow the roundness of the actual cone. It looks like the ice cream is on a waffle cone, am I right? This is such a tall ice cream cone that I think it might be called a Skyscraper cone….because, compared to a regular ice cream cone, it seems as tall as a skyscraper! Beautiful job, Ethan. I love seeing your artwork! Love, Grandma Nancy

Ethan - I really like this colorful profile of a bird. I love how you added color by weaving stips of paper to his body. His little wing and beak really stand out. I find that all your art is interesting to me. Well done Grandma Franca

I will call this a very dapper bird, Ethan! Dapper means he is very stylish. I can also tell by the look in his eye that he is very smart, too! I'll bet he enjoys all the colors he has on his body and his bright yellow legs are very eye catching as well. I'd love to see a bird like that sitting in my tree. I wonder if he can sing? I'l bet he sings a very jazzy song! I love this dapper bird, Ethan. Your artwork is so fun to see! Love, Grandma Nancy xox

Ethan, this is such a lively and eye- catching piece of artwork. You really did a fine job at capturing the brilliance of those lovely flowers! Daffodils are one of my favorite flowers and they are in bloom right now all over the place here. I wish you could see them. Perhaps you have daffodils in your neighborhood also? I love the detail you put into the blue and white bowl...it looks just like some of the antique bowls I have seen before. It makes a lovely holder for the flowers! And I love your sky. Your clouds look fleecy and like they are just traveling gracefully through the sky. What a happy picture! I love it! Love, Grandma Nancy. Xoxo

Ethan, this is probably the happiest snowman on Earth. With that beautiful rainbow scarf and cozy earmuffs he is stylin’ and comfy at the same time! It looks like it’s snowing quite heavily in his world…maybe he’s waiting for some children to come by and build him a friend or two. Then he’d be extra happy! I love the color of the sky and the way you have done the snowflakes in all different sizes, just like in a real snowstorm. And I love your snowman..he is the BEST! Keep up the good work with your art projects…you are doing so well. And I love looking at them! Love, Grandma Nancy

Ethan, I really like you snowman. You are such a good artist and a considerate boy. You made him warm with ear muffs and and a scarf. I would wear this out if it was snowing on me like its snowing on this snowman. He looks cold to me. Just like wintertime, clear blue skys with now falling down everywhere. Nicely done. I love it. Well look at this crazy little robot! I love him! I like the way you have constructed him out of so many different things. He looks like he has joints and can move in all directions! I love his face as well…he looks happy and curious. Maybe he’s curious to learn about the world…maybe he’s curious to make friends! He can see everything clearly with those big eyes, can’t he! Yes, I think I need a robot like this! Super job, Ethan! Love, Grandma Nancy

Oh how I would love to come upon a colorful pumpkin patch like this! I would have a hard time choosing just one because they are all so beautiful! Your drawing skills keep getting better and better each time I see your artwork! I especially like the little stems you’ve put on each pumpkin. If I could choose three of these fantastic pumpkins, I would choose the big red one, the tall skinny blue one and the tiny little guy on the very end…he is super cute! Well done, Ethan! What a beautiful hot air balloon, Ethan! It looks like it could sail really far! The people on the ground would look up and say 'Wow! I've never seen such a colorful balloon! I want to ride in it!" Great job on all the shapes and colors you put on it. I can tell you worked hard on this and it turned out beautifully! Yay, Ethan! Love, Grandma Nancy xo

Ethan, I love this particular piece of art. Maybe it’s because Harley and I are going to Albuquerque in two weeks to the largest hot air balloon festival in America. Or maybe it’s just because it’s so good. Love the pattern of the balloon. I like the feeling that it’s already up in the sky with the beautiful blue sky behind it. You are a very good artist. I can’t wait to see more of your art. Love, Grandma Franca.

Wow, Ethan! This is beautiful! I would love to take a ride on this hot air balloon and I'm sure it would look amazing floating in the air. Great work!
