this is something really special and challenging for you to accomplish with just little pieces of yarn to inspire you. i wouldn't have known where to start!?! but i love the color combinations that you chose, especially knowing that the yellow represented the sun and that was symbolic of God, so important to you after your communion last year. i like to think all the little purple circles represented the angels in heaven. your ideas are always so beautiful and creative. keep up the good work as you continue on the road to more skills and ways to express yourself.

Dear Ronan, your self portrait is just remarkable. it is so realistic with your curly blonde hair, gorgeous sparkly blue eyes, and your growing muscle shoulders. your royal blue shirt always brings out all the vivid colors that you managed to bring out in your drawing. hard to believe you're just a second grader. thanks for continuing to work so hard to do such fantastic work and to share it with your family. we love you, grandma

wow, ronan, you are learning so many different art forms that it is really exciting to see how far you have come since your very first drawing! i love the portrait of the young man. the different shades of blue in the sky really help to bring out the blonde in his hair and the orange (bengals?) in his jersey! good contrast that shows he is happy to be outside. congratulations once again on being excited to keep learning in your class and improving with each new artwork!
