From the photograph it's hard to tell it's a hand-sewn pillow. Sewing is a lot harder than you think, so I say kudos to you for working hard on this and making your emoji pillow be so expressive!

Lucy, the color choices here are beautiful. Using blues and green tones for the background leaf provides excellent contrast for the white/pink leaf on top. Using some reds that peek through in the background creates an exciting color combination while also creating a thematic consistency with the contrasting leaf. Usually reds and greens next to each other can be a dangerous combination but it’s done really well here. The composition is also nice as it creates visual symmetry as well as flow for your eyes as they move around the artwork. Well done.

I love the colors you picked for this painting. It is interesting how blue, white and black can create so many different shades of blue. This painting makes me think of the KC skyline. Great work!

Nice job Lu. I really like this one. Is that supposed to be a moon or the sun? I'm guessing sun since there are clouds too.
