Is this a cave painting!?

These are beautiful leaves. You must have made this one in the fall and I missed seeing it. I really like the combination of paint with the drawn lines.

Wow, I love the colors and crazy shapes on this one!

What is this piece about? There is a lot of texture and movement in the dark colors that make me wonder what it is about.

Did you have a lesson about Great Britain? Great job lining up all of the lines with the corners of the paper.

Is this Freddy's? I didn't realize that was your favorite restaurant. This diorama is really cool, and I love the hamburger that you sculpted! I hope making art makes you happy. That's part of why I do it.

The colors are so vibrant and look nice together. I'm proud of you for working on something that was hard. Good work.

I like the different shades of green and am very impressed with your description...especially the word analogous. That is a good technique to use in interior design (decorating different rooms in your house). It looks like you worked very hard on this. I'm proud of you.

I love your weaving. This turtle could be the mascot for Suds!

I like the colors you used and the detail of the black lines.

Neat butterfly. How did you make it?

I love this painting, it's really cool. I love the blues that you used and the way the shadows make the trees look three dimensional. The trees have a cool "fish-eye lens" kind of perspective, and the white ground looks like a snowy forest floor.

Calvin, did you know that there are researchers who thought some of the cave art in France was an early form of animation? There are images of repeated large animals with multiple limbs or tails, and when viewed with a flickering torch the animals appear to move. Pretty cool.
