It is an optical illusion, but I see the “D.” This reminds me of the ceramic bowl you made with all the beautiful colors.

Ooo, autumn when some trees look like they are growing fire. This is gorgeous. Look at that solid, unbroken trunk. It is perfect.

Such detail! Such imagination! Where did you start this piece? Was the main tower house the first thing you drew? I love it. XXOOXX

This reminds me of years ago when your mommy was a little girl and we would go to Tappan Lake and feed the ducks. Thank you for this beautiful memory. XXOOXX

Ooo, a sunflower is a great still-life subject. Were you learning about VanGogh’s sunflower paintings? How interesting to move up the thin, uncolored stem to the burst of the flower’s blossom. I am impressed with the intricate line drawings of each of the petals and the seed bed. This is beautiful. XXOOXX

Hi Dylan. What a beautiful color wheel. I really like how it looks like an umbrella from above it. As I write this, you are at Disney World seeing all of these beautiful colors every where you look. I love you. XXOOXX

I think I see cardboard, buttons, and fabric which makes me want to feel all the different textures in this piece. I’m wondering if you enjoyed using textured art materials to make this piece. Please tell your art teacher that I have enjoyed seeing all the various art forms to which she has exposed you. XXOOXX

Hi Dylan, When I look at this, your most recent piece, I'm kind of at a loss for words. You've taken pieces of cloth and managed to arrange an animal with the forest in the background so well that the artwork is actually three-dimensional This piece is one of the coolest creations you've done all year! I really like it! Lily does, too! Congratulations!!

I want you to make me an entire set of these dishes. This bowl is so cheery and colorful. Is it made of clay? You must be enjoying your art class. I am enjoying seeing what you are making. XXOOXX

I like all the textures I think I can sense in this creation. Did you choose the papers and tear them all? It reminds me of the mosaics that are made of stone and glass. You must be so proud of yourself. Keep having fun. XXOOXX

What a happy dining table. I especially like the artwork hanging on the wall behind the chairs. I noticed the drawing of the hand which has been taped to the wall. That is a very nice addition to this happy space. You even colored the tablecloth showing through the handles of the pink pot. You have a good sense for detail. I love you. Gramma.

Giggle, Giggle; I am so tickled by this, Dylan, as I am remembering the first time you tried to sew. This little friend is so adorable, she makes my heart happy. Nice job, honey. I hope you always enjoy sewing your designs. I love you, Gramma Jan
