It is always fun to note the many ways that the sense of fall an changing color can be depicted. I like the bare branches -- they look very real! Nowthat I'm out in Arizona we don't get to see this marvelous color and I miss it -- so your picture was a real treat!

Sorry I missed this - probably during the move. You did a great job on the car -- I think a car would be very hard to draw. And, of course, I love the pretty bow! love, nana

Your Starry Night picture reminds me that summer is almost here. I know that there are starry nights in the other seasons of the year but we are all more comfortable staying outside to enjoy a summer starry night! I like the way you depicted the stars and the the way they create a glow around each one. Thank you again for sharing you wonderful work. Love, Nana

Again, I loved your artwork??! It was a bit difficult for me to see because the pencil work was very pale for my old eyes. But I did find better light and saw a wonderful rabbit. All the careful pencil work did a great job of showing the bunny’s volume. That should have been a great lesson. Keep it up! I’m looking forward to what is next??

I always enjoy getting to see your art, Harper. This pieces really wonderful but I would love to know more about how you made it? D id you draw and cut out one half and then use it as a pattern? Or were you careful enough to just draw the entire thing? It looks like you may have cut out the figure from construction paper but I'm not sure. I always enjoy that you are learning and practicing new and different ways to make art and be creative. Jeep ut up!!! Love, Nana

Another wonderful work of art! I always find it hard to get the correct proportions when drawing or painting a human figure. But you did a great job with this skater! Everything appears in the correct proportion so she looks so real! And, with her hair flying in the breeze and that big smile we know she is having lots of fun! Are you doing some skating this winter? And, thank you again for sharing your art work.

What a nice job on your cornhusk project! I think it's wonderful that your class gets involved in a variety of projects with different materials. An artist doesn't have to limit herself to paint and a brush to be creative. Your creativity shines through in all your projects and I love having a chance to see your great work. Love, nana

Hi, Harper - Your Christmas tree is beautiful! You picked some wonderful ornaments to hang on the tree. The rows of tinsel add lots of sparkle. And, of course, the star at the top is very special. I am sure that Santa would really enjoy adding lots of presents to this very pretty tree .Love, Nana
