Hi sweet Emery! I probably told you this before but your art makes me smile and feel so happy! All your drawings turn out so sweet looking! This Goose is no different. I wish I could talk to him and ask him if he is warm enough with his stocking hat and scarf because, even though the sun is above him, it looks chilly with leaves blowing in the air and on the ground, with some raindrops that seem to be creating a rainbow effect. Am I right? Everyone interprets art in different ways you know. The beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That means if Grampy saw your art, he might find something totally different that he thought was beautiful about it. You are beautiful too! Love you and see you before long! Hope you are enjoying school. Grammy

Hi Miss Emery! So glad to see your art; I haven't seen any for a while and it always makes me happy to see your drawings! This little cutie pie is no exception. The fact that she is called "Hedgy" just makes it that much more endearing. I feel such warm feelings toward Hedgy and knowing it's your creation makes me feel warm too because I feel the love you put into it and that makes me feel love for you :) She has a warm hat for fall and the sweetest face, just like yours and even more so when I see you smile and see those cute freckles of yours. Have a great week at school and we will see you next weekend. All my love, Grammy

Hi Emery! Wow, that shark looks like he is having the time of his life!! He's so happy. Wouldn't that be funny in real life to see a shark slide up on someone's surfboard :) I bet your shark was attracted to your bright, colorful surfboard and it looks like there is a pool of blue ocean water under him that dripped off him when he got up on it because it is the only blue on the board. It's a very cute drawing and you did such a good job with your color choices and with staying in the lines. It's very good. Would you like to try surfing yourself sometime? I think it would be quite fun. Love, Grammy

Hello again Emery, I just saw you did a turtle too! I never got an email notifying me of this one! Glad I saw it. It's perfect for March St. Patrick's Day since it's all dressed in green and how sweet to have a top hat on too! Your drawing is so colorful and lively with all the adornments of hearts and flowers. It just speaks spring all over it. It's such a happy feeling drawing, I just love how sweet it looks. Happy St. Patrick's Day!! Love, Grammy

Hi Emery, It's been way too long since I've seen you and it's been quite a while since you have done an art piece here. I'm so glad you named it Baby Gosling because I didn't remember that was what they call a baby goose. They are the cutest babies aren't they! I can see how much love there is between mom and baby :) It looks like they are near a fishpond so mom will probably go fishing so she can feed the fish to her baby. I enjoyed seeing your art again. Hope we see you soon. Love, Grammy

Hi Emery, hope you are enjoying piano :) I see you found some time to do a piece of art while you are off from school. I love this piece, because I happen to love birch trees, and you did a beautiful job in making them look so natural. When I was a kid your age, I grew up in a house that your Great Grandpa Loy built, although it did not have any birch trees nearby. Also, we have some birch trees behind our house here in the woods. I just love that they have white bark which makes them stand out and in the summer with their bright green leaves, they look so pretty. I really enjoyed your art today. Thank you sweetheart! Love, Grammy

Hi Emery, I'm so glad to see some of your art again on Artsonia!! These sponge poinsettias are beautiful, I love them. The sponge gave them the texture they needed to look even more real and the colors are so true as well. Perfect for the Christmas season. This is worthy of being a part of your home Christmas decorations somewhere on the wall. Merry Christmas :) Love, Grammy

Wow, Emery, it's so exciting that you are learning about all these different animals in your drawings! I'm not sure I have ever heard of a red panda so I'm learning right along with you. I looked to see they live in the Himalayas and China and they like to eat bamboo just like our black and white pandas we see at the zoo. Your drawing depicts the red panda's features so well, with the colors of the ears, face and tail and the body color looks just like the real ones! He's just hanging out in the tree like any other panda, having a fun day. Your trees look very unique and beautiful too. Love this drawing as always. Love you, Grammy

Hi Emery, Wow, I'm surprised to see another piece of art from you so soon, but I'm glad you did it cause it is just adorable. I have never seen the word "Axolotl" before. Can you tell me what it means? I'm wondering if this is a guppy who had babies and she is expressing her love for them. Such a sweet drawing and such a sweet message :) Love, Grammy

Hi Emery, I love this drawing from you. First of all, I love that the piece is about the blueberry fields. I know you love blueberries as much or more than I do! Your attention to detail is so wonderful. The sun is out ripening the berries, two berries look ready to eat because they look like they are falling to the ground, and they have smiles because they know they will make people very happy when those people taste them. And you even left one little berry on the vine that needs to keep growing a little longer so it can make people happy too! Your soil looks rich and full of nutrients to feed the growth of the vines and berries. That sweet little berry on the bottom looks like a girl berry with what looks like a bow on her head :) Thanks for sharing your drawing with me! Love you, Grammy

My Dearest Emery, I enjoy viewing your art so much. I can always feel your personality in your work. It portrays your sweet nature that flows into what you draw. Each element in your drawing displays that, from the faces you attach to your flowers and bugs, to the sun showing itself on a partially cloudy day and the dirt from which the flower grows and the beautiful choice of colors you use. Your flower is standing up straight so proud confident looking at the world with big wide eyes taking it all in as if to say hi world, I'm here loving life. You have said a lot in this work. I love it and I love you too! Grammy

Hi again Emery, I see I called your turtle by the wrong name. You named it Mexico turtle and I wrote Mexican! I assume you called it Mexico because that is where your turtle is swimming in the ocean, in Mexico?? Is that right? I love it wherever it is! Grammy

Hi Emery, Do you love turtles as much as I do? They are such a gentle giant. Some day I hope you get to go to Hawaii and see them come up on the beach so you can get really close to them to admire how wonderful they are. Your Mexican turtle is so beautiful swimming in the green blue ocean with lots of other sea creatures. Did you make his shell look like a taco shell and that's why you named him Mexican turtle? Actually, their shells do look similar to a taco naturally! I have a friend who is in Hawaii now and she took some really beautiful pictures of the turtles up on the sand. I'll show you sometime. Love, Grammy

Hi Emery, You are doing a lot of art this week!! I'm so glad because I get to enjoy it with you. Your art piece is so aptly named The Beautiful Flower Garden because it is just that. I so love the details on the leaves and the coloring in the middle of the flower heads. Is that a taller flower behind the biggest flower on the left? That is such a cool aspect to your drawing. Loving this one! Hope your runny nose is better kiddo. Love, Grammy

Hi Emery, This little tulip is just the most adorable flower with its happy smile, sky blue face and sparkling eyes!! I'm so glad it is getting watered and looks like it is saying, "oooo that water feels good, I was thirsty"!! It looks like today may be our last sunny day this week, so I hope you got out to enjoy it! Thank you again for my beautiful tulips you gave me on Easter. Enjoy your spring break and I hope we see you soon. Love, Grammy

Hi Emery, I'm so glad you showed me your art from Kite Parade last time we were at your house because I love seeing your art in person, as well as on the Artsonia website. I was going to say my favorite thing about this is the color choices but then I also love the kites being all together. They feel happy being together, big ones and small ones, just like adults and children. We should all go to the beach sometime and fly kites together! Love you

Hi Emery, What a beautiful lion!! You did such a good job with the shading on his face, it makes his face so realistic, including the detail below his eyes. I'm assuming this is a male lion because I think the colorful rainbow colors around his face represent the mane. That's just my interpretation though. You can correct me if I am wrong. I like your color choices, both the colors next to each other and the colors layered on each other around the mane. They look so good together and I feel like you put a lot of thought into your choices. I hope you had fun creating this art. I sure enjoyed seeing it! Love, Grammy

Hi Emery, I adore your bookworm for so many reasons. I am going to assume bookworm is a she. She is so cute with her glasses on. She looks happy so she must be reading a really good and enjoyable story. She has no distractions in the room so she can focus on reading. And she has good light which is always important while reading to not strain your eyes. Your mom told me you shared this with your teacher! I bet she really enjoyed it. I know I did! Love, Grammy

Hi Emery, I'm so glad to see more art created by you! It always brings a smile to my face because each one of your drawings has so much character which makes it so unique. And each one is always so very cute. I see this little bird, can I call him blue bird, appears to be flying in for a bite to eat. I bet he is happy he found a bird feeder because it's hard to find food in the winter. I can see spring is around the corner though because your grass is getting green and your tree looks to be getting some new growth! Love it and you, Grammy

Hi Emery, I just saw this drawing in your portfolio. It doesn't seem to have a name so I'm not sure what it's story is about. I see the light bulb shining bright while someone with glasses is reading a book. Who is that someone or something? What is the name of the book? I would like to know more about what you drew. Love, Grammy

Hi Emery, thank you for sharing your beautiful rainbow sunset art with me today, especially since we are enjoying the sun shining for real today!! I like the way you named your drawing rainbow sunset because it combines the colors of the rainbow with the colors of a sunset. Lots of times we do get rain and clouds and sun together which helps create that beautiful sunset that you have drawn. Nightfall is turning the trees dark which is a great detail you incorporated into your drawing. I like that as well as the birds looking dark against the colorful sky. Is the sun's reflection on the ocean which has taken on the color of the sky or is the reflection part of the sunset itself? It's such a nice drawing to enjoy today. Thank you for drawing and sharing! Love you, Grammy

Hi Emery, sorry I called your lemur a kitty on your last art. I missed seeing the title :) But it was cute no matter what! As always, your mushrooms first fall is super cute too. You draw the sweetest, happiest faces, they just make me smile! Have you ever tried eating a mushroom? Tell daddy to fry some up in a pan with onions and then put them all on top of your home-made burger. Your Grampy lovessss them that way. Another good way to have them is in your spaghetti sauce! Keep drawing!! Love, Grammy

Dear Emery, For some reason I missed this art from before. I'm wondering what it is called, does it have a name? I love the beautiful flowers and the tree but I feel sad for the kitty in the tree. I hope he is not stuck because I know kitties run up trees and then can't get down. Could he live up there? Can you go up and feed the kitty or carry it down? Love, Grammy

Hi Emery, today is Valentine's Day. Happy V Day! Your noodle art today makes me happy because the bowl has such a sweet face with those big eye lashes!! Looks like you even added several hearts to the noodles which means they were made with love!! Who are the people at the table ready to eat?? Is that you and daddy since daddy will be home from his trip today!! Happy eating! I enjoyed seeing your art today, Love, Grammy

Hi Emery!! Hands down, that is the cutest snowman (snowgirl) I have ever seen. I love the green mittens which are coordinated with the beanie. So adorable. Looks like "she" knows how to snowboard, is that right? And I see it is snowing too!! Know what else I noticed? You wrote your name in cursive, great job. It looks sooooo good. You must have been practicing your cursive lessons. Love you, Grammy

I Emery, thanks for showing me this penguin picture you made while we were at your house last week. I am glad I got to see it in person and hear you describe to me how you made it. It's beautiful and cute all at the same time. I love it. Your art is so fun to see because each one is so different and unique from the other. Keep doing art!! Love, Grammy

Hi Emery, what a fun and cheerful piece of art you did. Did you name this yourself? The descriptive name just makes you want to eat this stack of ice cream cones right now :) It also makes me wonder what flavors they are. I feel like one might be banana, one pistachio, one mint and one blue moon. There actually is an ice cream flavor called blue moon that they have in the city of Chicago! The banana flavor on the bottom of the stack looks the most happy, maybe cause she is balancing all the other cones so well. They might be starting to melt, better EAT quick haha :) Love you, Grammy

I just thought of something else about your art that I like. Your presents are falling from the sky, which means Santa is dropping them down from his sleigh right near your tree. And, you drew some of your very own stars in the sky to add to the beauty of the whole picture. VERY NICE Grammy

Emery, your Christmas art is gorgeous! I absolutely love it! You should print it on cardstock (heavy paper) and frame it and hang it up every year at Christmas time. Merry Christmas. See you soon. Grammy

Emery, for some reason I never saw your butterfly until now!!!! I didn't know you had done another painting but now I see it in your portfolio. Wow, this is very beautiful. I love the colors in the wings and the blue background. Is that a campfire up above? That's what it looks like to me. I enjoy all your artwork so much. Do you paint at home too? Love, Grammy

Hi Emery, just wanted to tell you how pretty your new painting is!! The colors you chose are so vibrant and look very good together. I also like the way you filled in all the spaces so there is no white space showing. I think the flowers you drew look very realistic. They are daisies which are ones I really like. I miss you girl and hope we can visit soon. Love, Grammy :)
