What a heavy topic! We need to be reminded that we are not kind to nature! What is the solution? Your technique is amazing! Such attention to detail. Clearly, the tree is the most vibrant part of the piece and I love your choice of medium.

The Methuselah tree is provocative, particularly with the debris around it. The tree looks old and as if had many stories to tell. Interesting that the tree looks so old but the debris does not. And, interesting that the tree is on a slight hill. What does that tell us about the tree? Is it enjoying being old? Is it surveying the debris with disdain? I love you and your creativity!
