Kourt, I am not familiar with the Gilmore Girls bur I understand that it takes place in New England, and since the gazebo is a very familiar structure in New England, it was an appropriate choice for your design. You did a nice job of centering "whole" gazebos in the middle of your artwork, with partial ones at the edges. I like how you lined up the gazebos top to bottom and side to side. Everything is nicely balanced and symmetrical. Great jopb!

Kourt, you did a GREAT job recreating Bingo. The lines are all crisp and clean, the proportions are perfect and the choice of colors is just right. I like how you outlined her in black -it makes the drawing look extra sharp. She looks ready to leap right off the page and into action!

Oh, wow, I thought this was a photo before I read your reflection! I am so intrigued! Will you show me how you did this one day? Not only do I love your artistic ability but I am also so impressed with your thoughtful reflections. They show that you are learning how to use your creativity in combination with the techniques you learn in school. Great work! Love, Aunt Lynn

What a great idea to choose Gilmore Girls for your art assignment. I like the 2 objects you chose for the pattern. Your explanation of what the assignment was all about was very well written and very helpful. Patterns are used in so many artistic ways like wrapping paper, material, wallpaper, flooring, quilting, dishware, etc. so making a pattern that looks attractive is important. I like your comment that if you were to make a change that you would change the size of the cup. Either way, you did an excellent job!! Love, Nana

You did a fantastic job with the blending of strokes with Hank's portrait. It was interesting to hear you explain to me how you did this with art technology. The 5 words you listed to describe Hank's character made him to be a wonderful companion to have as a pet. Tour artwork always amazes me! Keep up the good work! Love, Nana

Great picture, Kourt. I’m not quite sure what you used to make it, but Hank looks very real and reminds me of Casey. I just want to reach out and pet him!

Kourtney-there is definitely beauty in the darkness of night and you captured it so well. The stars, moon and clouds all reflect the beauty of the universe in which we live. The night-blooming gardenias add an element of beauty as only flowers can. This is another well-done piece of art showcasing your talent and creativity. Wonderful job!

I enjoyed reading the paragraph that went with your newest artwork. The colors in this picture are so soft and they go well together. You did a very good job with the blues of the sky and the flowers. The words popping out of the black paper help to support the poem and that was a creative way to do that. Nice job!! Looking forward to your next piece of artwork. Love, Nana

Wow! Kourtney, that is an excellent drawing of an "illustrated recipe!" Good choice since I know how much you like those cookies. You did such a good job with drawing the shapes and angles of the ingredients' containers and the cookies looked so real with the colors and the way you stacked them. Well done with all the details you needed to include. Love, Nana

An awesome drawing! The rosy color scheme, the black outlines and complicated designs all combine to make this an amazing piece of art. I absolutely love the various shades of pink that you used. The contrasting black places emphasis on your patterns and showcases your detailed work. This drawing is eye catching and very pleasant to look at. Great job, Kourt!

Wow...first of all I thoroughly enjoyed reading what you wrote about this art work. I agree that the color you chose and the many shades with it was so warming and contrasted nicely with the black lines and patterns. There were quite a few patterns you drew and that looked like it must have taken a lot of time since they were very well done and intricate. You followed all the criteria that was listed to create this drawing and it looks fantastic!! Love, Nana

You did an excellent job with the way there are 4 shades of purple blending so beautifully. The trees are so real looking capped with the snow. I think this would make a wonderful ornament (private joke)!!! Each new piece of artwork is so more advanced than the last one and it is fun to watch you grow with this talent. Keep up the fantastic creativity.

Oh Kourtney, that is a beautiful winter picture. I especially like the different shades of purple layers with the back trees and the touch of snow on their branches. It would certainly make a lovely ornament (private joke)!!!! You continue to amaze me with your artistic talent. Love, Nana

Kourtney, This landscape blew me away. I absolutely LOVE the coloring and the snow on the trees. Your artwork shows that even a snowstorm can be beautiful. Love, Grandma

Wow, Kourtney! Your perspective drawing is excellent. I can see the difference in the darkness of the color of the mountains and in the size of the snowflakes. You have added so much depth to your drawing!! It really makes me feel like I am right underneath those snow-covered trees. (But now I am feeling chilly thinking about it!) ;) Aunt Lynn

With its myriad colors and shapes, your artwork reminds me of a kaleidoscope. I can totally imagine turning it and having different colorful patterns emerge. Just as a kaleidoscope is a symbol of growth and creativity, your drawing shows how much your artistic skills have grown over the years. Your imagination never ceases to amaze me!

Oh, this is really cool! The first thing that came to my mind was of you dancing. It has the flowing movements and beautiful colors that make me think of your spontaneous dances! Aunt Lynn

Wow Kourtney! I just saw that you have some art work in Artsonia and it is so fun to look at. I thought of sea glass when I saw it. Love the colors with the contrasting black outlines. And then there are those 2 dotted shapes that stand uniquely among the other solid painted shapes. I liked how you made them fit and belong in that picture. Love, Nana

Kourtney, I am not surprised this artwork was selected for the town-wide art show! This horse has so much personality. She looks happy and chill with her eyes sort of closed. Like she is just gazing over to see who is admiring her. (I always thought horses were the hardest animal to draw so I am extra impressed!)

Kourtney - I I am amazed as to how well you drew the horse and I love how you have her head turned to look at us. You know how I love horses, so this picture is special for me. And the weaving you did with the yarn came out so great and looks so perfect on the back of the horse. She looks like she is warm and cozy with that blanket on her!

Kourt- I just love all of your artwork, but the Radial Name Design is my favorite. It looks so intricate and complicated and I am sure it wasn't easy to do. The colors you chose enhance the design and really make it look good. I have to admit, it took me a few minutes to realize that it was made up of your name! Nice job!!!

Kourtney - what a fantastic self-portrait! Love how you brought your hair over the shoulder and such specific details that makes it so you. Fun to see your growth in this art style from 2019's portrait which was so awesome also. The flower background is so pretty and the ballet shoes were a perfect addition as to who you are.

Kourtney, the tropical collage is awesome! I just love the way you did the sailboat, the ocean and the palm tree. I wish I was there at the beach right now!
