Its interesting how you used layers of color and mark-making in the background. It's like you are communicating that there is commotion in the background and that someone (you?) is just sitting calmly with a cup of cocoa. Also, you used cool colors for the background and warm colors for the foreground--making the foreground really come forward and the background recede. Very nice, Hailey!

This is interesting to me because you used the veins in the leaves to separate different categories of imagery. And the background adds to the composition.
