Kayla, I hope you enjoyed the shades of blue art assignment. I like the picture. I wonder, did you mix the colors yourself to get the different tints?

Kayla says the paper already had the circles on it very faintly. She drew her own hand and colored it. She was learning about colors.

Nice work Kayla! I hope you are enjoying these projects in line and color. Did you need a compass to draw circles?

I like your stained glass window candle picure with the gothic arch. Nice work, Kayla. I still look at and like the picture you drew of my wheelchair. So glad you were with us at Christmas.

Beautiful Kayla. Love your work.

Well I like it Kayla, but maybe not as much as if it were red or pink or white like a real poinsettia. But, hey, they might have blue ones some day.

Kayla, your pumpkin looks like a pumpkin. It looks like the one Aunt Mary bought for us that was a little flat on one side. We carved it into a Jack-O-Lantern. Did you have one this year? Will it become pie? Ours was not good for pie. My grandchildren appear to have artistic talent. I hope you enjoy creating. Gramma

I do like the expression on this llama's face. Also love the colors of the tie and background. they make me think of the colorful coats of Peruvian mountain people where llamas live. Did you ever read Ogden Nash's humorous verse about a llama? It starts "In far Tibet there lived a llama. Got no papa. Got no mama." and continues with many other things the llama doesn't have. I think you or your parents could find it on the internet and laugh with you.

She says I used color pastels to make rings and then I used an eraser to make it look like tor dye.

Wow Kayla! I love the vivid colors of your concentric circles. What process did you use to create that?

The problem, Grandma, is that mom has to approve the comments before they show up and sometimes it takes her a long time to get around to it…

Kayla, your sunflower is bursting from the page and saying, "look at me". Good work. I like it.

Beautiful Kayla. Looks like you have a fun art class.

when i get a post about my grandchiuldren's artwork I make a comment. why do I get notices that no one has commented?
Posted 3 years ago by Grandma
why do the comments i make fail to appear and i get an email saying their are no comments. I do like this egg and the lily/sunrise pattern that is so appropriate

Kayla beautifully done. Looks very delicate.

Kayla I like your painted egg. The design reminds me of two things. An Easter lily stem and a sun rise. Both appropriate for the season.

It’s beautiful Kayla. Very delicate.

Kayla, these are beautiful eggs. Did you blow them all out yourself? That took a lot of breath. Have you hung them on spring branches in your apartment?

Kayla made the one with purple lines around a red circle, bottom right corner.

I think this would make a pretty shirt, but it is not fabric, is it. I like the way you arranged the squares' colors: Variety of color intensity, white space, etc I hope you enjoyed doing it.

Kayla, Daphne, Madeleine and Gramma looked at your art work on the computer. We were confused whether we were looking at what you made or what Julie made, but when we saw your self-portrait we knew who it was. good work. Merry Christmas to you and all your family.
