Winter in Colorado looking at the mountains. I wish we had the snow in your picture. Yesterday it was 71 degrees outside. Here in Colorado it doesn't feel much like winter.

I love this one so much! I didn't realize that was a McDonald's in the background, but that made me laugh. Cool watercolors!!

Charlie, This looks like part of a logic chart for a microchip layout. Determining how the transistor maske will be built for producing a microchip. Looks very cool.

Is this delicious looking donut for breakfast? Can I have it with my ice cream cone you drew?
Posted 2 years ago by Grandpa
This very much looks like Colorado. You are welcome to come visit and make pictures of the mountains any time. Next time you and Melody visit we can take you to the top of Pikes Peak. Then you can see the world from the top. It is a very different perspective. Good work Charlie.

Now that would be an interesting chess board to use. Somewhat distracting unless you were familiar with it. Perhaps that can be a winning strategy.

Love all the colors against the bright yellow!

This really reminds of some of the 16th and 17th century maps that were made of the south pacific. Always in perspective and reflecting the local wildlife.

It looks like the ocean! An island, a shark, and a bird flying over it. And even if that's not what you intended, I still think it looks great!

This resembles to me a heart progressing in time. All the colored lines being the days and events of life.
Posted 2 years ago by Grandpa
So many colors! And I'm sure it took a long time to draw all those lines!!

A racoon with turtleneck in the rain. Is he by the ocean?

I loved hearing you tell me about your "glitched artic fox". It's very cute!!

Very cool!! Love the colors and how the handprint contrasts with them!

Very creative! Now use those images to create an isometric of the drawing for a really cool effect. Keep up the imagination Charlie.

This really reminds me of the scene in Pink Floyd's "The Wall". Except perhaps with white snow or perhaps fallout? Keep up the imaginative work.

This is neat!!

Resembles a super villain mask. Above the eyes is a crystal of power. Try coming up with the villain that fits this mask. Might be a fun project for art.

Oh, that is so cool!!

Looks like a great deal of 1970's art that everyone had back then. I remember these back in the dark ages when dinosaurs ruled the earth.

So is this what is looks like when you find the end of the raibow?
Posted 3 years ago by Grandpa
Love the colors and simple shapes on this one!

Charlie, That is definitely shades of the 60's tie dye. Very vintage. Now you need to get a shirt like that too. There are some shirts like that from the 60's that are still around, but being from the time dinosaurs ruled the earth not many of them have survived. Stay imaginative and colorful Charlie.

Ah! I love this one! All the colors look awesome!

Charlie, That's a nice triple scooper. When I worked in an ice cream shop I always worried when I had to make a triple scoop ice cream cone. I was worried it would fall over before I gave it to the customer. Next time were together you can make me a triple scooper.

Charlie, When I was young and was able to go to the ice cream truck when it came around we got something that looked like these. They were called "Bomb Pops" They were great on a hot summer day. You'll have to ask your mom or dad to get you one to try. If they don't get you one to try then Nanna or I can get you one when we visit.

Charlie, The colors of a butterfly's wings are meant to scare away predators. I think your would do that. It is very colorful but you can also see the white as eyes, the yellow body a big nose. And the two hearts as fangs. You have very good symmetry.
Posted 3 years ago by Grandpa
I still like this one the best of all. An unusual perspective that show good 3D and spacial comprehension. Keep it up Charlie.

That is a very colorful weave Charlie. If you enjoyed making it perhaps you should try a loom. You can make some very colorful things on a loom too.

Did the rainbow fall apart and rain down on someone?

Great cupcake!!

The vertical part looks like a valentine budda to me. With hands folded ever so serenely across his belly. The other two look like corillian photography. Kind of neat. How did you create the glowing effect of the heart?
Posted 3 years ago by Grandpa
Charlie, is that you surfing or snow boarding?
Posted 3 years ago by Grandpa
That looks so cool! I love the chalk hearts glowing in the background!!

Snowman looking up being photographed by a drone. Or a snowman skydiving during a snow storm. Quite the imagination.
