Hi Zelda. I see you signed your name in cursive. Are you learning cursive in school?
I presume your artwork is a self portrait of you and your new sport- Softball

Looks like Diary of a Wimpy Kid to me. Good job, Z!

Zelda’s artwork looked like it was inspired by a photograph and by a certain artist that does that kind of artwork. Like the colors and composition!

Hi Zelda, do you get these notes from me and Grandma Sue? Let me know. Your art teacher must like the artist Glennray Tutor. This is maybe the third exercise based on his work. It is fun to imagine what the object might be like colorful globes or magic mushrooms or psychedelic jelly fish. Your use of colors and the way they blend into each other is well done. So is the use of the dark outline to create a sense of a shadow at the edge of the globe

Wow! Your pastries look deliicious! I want to eat some! I never heard of the artist, so I looked him up. Yes, I believe he would have done something very similar to what Zelda did. The colors are vibrant, and she followed the directions well!

Zelda, You probably learned that the artist that was the inspiration for your project paints nothing but treats but YOUR donuts look better! Good job. See you Saturday. Sapp

I looked up style of Lawren Harris' paintings. Zelda's artwork resembles her artwork in that they are abstract with lakes, mountains and sky. Zelda did a great job completing her assignment!

I didn’t know what this was at first so I looked up the artist whom you were supposed to be taking inspiration from. It looks like a cross between two of his works. Great job. Enjoy your girl’s day with Granny this Saturday for your birthday. I found a special gift she is bringing from the both of us. I hope you will like it

It is indeed a blue bear, and you decided to portray it in an abstract way. Good job, and enjoy your future artwork.

I like your interpretation of the art assignment. It is very original and “modernist”. Your sister had the same assignment last year and your piece is very different and unique befitting your (beautiful) personality.

The cat sure has a haunted look! Good use of colors!

Perfect motif for the holiday AND I received it the night of the Halloween Party!

Zelda's picture does remind me of the blue waters of the Caribbean and the beautiful sunset that I saw while visiting there.

Whoa, that is very cool. It looks like giant tsunami wave is about to swallow the island. Is the white part the foam created when a wave hits? Wish you and your sister were here with me in the Greek Isles.

Looks like Zelda had a lot of fun creating these 3-D sculptural pieces and placing them together to make a collage. The finished artwork displays how creative she can be. Great job, Zelda!

Another beautiful piece. Have you thought about naming your artwork? This one could be Zipper Art or Snake Vertebrae or something

Is anybody reading these comments? Zelda, what a great rendition of an Impressionist painting. I think the Impressionist art movement became famous in Paris in the late 1800’s. Your artwork is inspired by a female impressionist artist. Great Job!

Very beautifully done, nice use of color One of her best ones yet Shows she was inspired by this artist

I could tell it was a rainbow owl as soon as I saw it! Well done Zelda. What is your favorite artwork for my next tee shirt

Ok “Zeldar my Superstar” what was the inspiration for your monster? It must be a nice monster since there are hearts all around him/her. I like the use of plaid in one of the hearts
Posted 1 year ago by Sapp
I see the random hearts all over the painting which shows it’s a “love” monster. Because the teeth are somewhere else, I would say the “cat” is a “monster”. Like the colors, too. Good job, Zelda!

I like the added touch of the very colorful background. It draws attention to the trees and makes the viewer feel happy about winter.

Zelda, this may be my favorite of all your artwork! The pine trees in the snow really settle mood but the tie dye look makes it look like the aurora borealis
Posted 1 year ago by Sapp
Very colorful and a lot of attention to detail.

You really captured all of the fall colors
Posted 2 years ago by Sapp

I looked at Mary Blair’s art and your art project is an excellent rendition of her style. Great job Zelda!

Zelda did an excellent job in following the directions. She made the picture more interesting by making it asymmetrical.
Posted 2 years ago by Grandma Sue
Very well done Zelda. I don’t like eating green apples but I LOVE your artwork. The positive/negative concept results in a cool design. Sapp

That is a very colorful snail. What did you paint or color it with? Good job getting the spiral of its shell and antennas right.
Posted 2 years ago by Sapp
It is indeed a neon snail. Love the colors...Again, great job, Zelda!

Big raindrops, big rainbow and big umbrella! Great picture of you, Zelda, and I really liked your drawing, too!

Basquiat would have loved your picture! Yours is bizarre with black and bright colors, similar to his style.
Posted 2 years ago by Grandma Sue
What a beautiful composition. How did you get your picture on there? Awesome
Posted 2 years ago by Sapp
Zelda, I like your selections of black and yellow to create this scary dinosaur. He kind of looks like a helicopter with a beak.
Posted 2 years ago by Sapp
I can see that Zelda followed the directions perfectly well. I like the way she used glitter to set off the snow angel from the snow.
Posted 2 years ago by grandma sue
I really like the background. It captures a winter day. Is the subject a snow angel?

Very good likeness of a cardinal, like scattered red dots throughout picture

Zelda, The detail in the leaves is tremendous. You have captured the way the “veins” in a leaf look very realistically. Good job! Sapp

Colors are beautiful, good composition, very pleasing to the eye

I love your apple inspired art. Keep up the good work
Posted 3 years ago by Sapp
Your artwork is similar to Cezanne's in that you both painted multiple apples and a basket. Good observation, Zelda!
Posted 3 years ago by Grandma Sue
It is clear that Zelda does understand what symmetrical means. As usual, her artwork shows good use of color and a lot of attention to detail.
Posted 3 years ago by Grandma Sue

Posted 3 years ago by Sapp
Your painting does remind me a lot of Matisse’s art work. Good job, Zelda!
Posted 3 years ago by Grandma Sue
I like your goldfish. You did a great job making two of the goldfish smaller to make them look like they are in the background. Very well done creating a 3 dimensional look to the art
Posted 3 years ago by Sapp
This is a new piece I haven’t seen yet. Was the design and colors inspired by the recently blooming spring flowers? The hand is very well drawn to show it grasping the flowers
Posted 3 years ago by Sapp
Zelda must had had a story in mind when she drew this picture. Good choice of colors, and the hand was very well drawn for a kindergartner.
Posted 3 years ago by Grandma Sue
Very colorful, Zelda!
Posted 3 years ago by Grandma Sue
Beautiful work Zelda. Nice use of color
Posted 3 years ago by Sapp
Your artwork looks very 3 dimensional. Perhaps it is a collage. Alphabet soup it is!
