A great quote, we should all read this everyday of our lives. Neat choice of creatures to embrace it with.

This is another fun image. I like how the tree has a strong, supporting grasp on the tiny home, sort of like our neighborhood trees who shade us from the sun, protect us from storms, provide homes for creatures to live by us, and overall, make help us feel comfy, healthy and safe. Neat image!

I always love imagining tunnels and homes underground, where other creatures live. I remember a book series the boys read, The Littles, they could go places we couldnt and it was fun imagining life in small, unobtainable places. I love how books follow you everywhere??

I think you could be a graphic artist! This makes me want to wear these glasses, and see the world through them.

Whow! I love this piece. It captures the beauty and essence of a garden so profoundly. It honors not only the beauty of the flowers, but the foliage and the soils wonder and significance as well. This is fabulous!

Ohhh!!! I loved watching the progress of this project. I really like it. It's so neat. I love all the greens and the little bits of color here and there.

I love this lamp. I know it's Aladdin's lamp but it reminds me of Mrs. Potts.

I love the colorful, hopeful, joy-filled sky, set against the dark city sky line. The curving flowing, easy spirit of the backdrop, opposing the rigid linear foreground. Very cool!

It was a lot of fun to watch the process of this one as you were doing it (as with the Poirot one). I really like the use of colors and shading. It's a really neat piece Mina!

I loved searching all the aspects and image within this piece. It really intrigued me. I love how the smoke sort of hides the portraits and then becomes part of them, like the peoples’ hair. It is beautifully done and extremely interesting, and again, your use of shading is wonderful. I wish there was an artists comment. I love reading your thoughts after I view and appreciate them. You are also an excellent writer, I might add.

Such a creative piece. I love the water dripping from the images, the fluid movement of the tentacles is palpable. Cool idea!

This is very interesting and made me think and wonder………a tree, a hand, a head with ears, leaves falling like tears, a “shh”. Is it representing the hiding of true emotions again? It’s beautifully thought-provoking and the design is lovely. You are excellent at capturing emotion and feeling your artwork.

Fun art! I can smell and taste it!
- Amy on April 17, 2024

Very good first attempt at an ear, you are so good at use of shading. Just a little note from me: I love you and your ears just the way you are. ??

Oh, just found the place to view your artists comments. I see it is like graphic art for marketing a product. Fun idea!

The contradiction of the athletic shoe with the high heel really makes me think? I would love to hear your thoughts. You are a very good pencil drawer.

This is a great portrayal of how our thoughts affecting our mood, I love the emotion you were able to capture and express with your drawing and the facial features and structure. The “ I’m fine” is such an important thought to share, so folks don’t feel they have to hide their fears, anxieties and worries. Feeling our emotions, greeting them head on, attending to them, accepting them, being honest with ourselves and others will give those emotions healing energies. I love this quote from Mr. Rodger, a famous childrens teacher from our time once said, “Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know that we are not alone.” Emotional health requires true honesty and acceptance and openness of our true feelings. This work really expresses the importance of that message.

Love this image. It reminds me of seeing you across the street waving. Gives me a warm, loving feeling.

Fun way to utilize your artwork. Are you studying graphic design now. Did you know Grandpa Roy taught graphic design for years at Lafollette high school?
- Amy on April 17, 2024

I know how much Hamilton means to you. We loved listening to you and your friends sing and act the scenes in the drive way. We miss those years. This is an interesting way to incorporate the musical to your visual art.

Hmm...Narrative. Ok. Is it a WHO DUNNIT?? I like this piece. I'm curious what it means. Who took the diamond???

The details in this are amazing! And I love how you really added the depth to the picture. I LOVE seeing your artwork and how much you have learned!

Thanks for sharing your work. I have so many questions: Is the Orange representative of your home town, or your extended families home in Florida, or something else? Your eyes stand out so starkly; are they showing reflectiveness, openness, or something else? What of the spiraling line that widens as it enters from the edge of the piece? The varying shades of purple, were they by chance inspired by a recent overture event? I believe you had the privilege of attending the color, purple — the journey of a young woman. When see your artwork, I keep thinking of my art teacher from grade school, she always used to say, tell me about it! That’s how I feel when I look at your piece, tell me about it! It’s beautifully done, but it leaves me thinking a lot, which makes a very powerful piece of artwork.

I don’t know how i missed this piece, but I did. I love jelly fish, so this is exciting to me. The colors, shades and patterns. It reminds me of swimming through schools of them while scuba diving. I hope you will have that experience some day; its magical.

I remember when John did this hand assignment. I really enjoy seeing all the different creations using the hand. I find it interesting how many different images, symbols, designs you incorporated into this piece. Again, I would love to hear you talk about this piece. It is very interesting, engaging, and makes me think and wonder—pause and enjoy each intricate part of this piece.

I love this fun creature, it makes me smile, and it looks like it could part of a great book.
- Amy on November 22, 2023

I wish I could see this in person, it’s too blurring to really appreciate on the computer. I hope I can see it when I am back in Oregon.
- Amy on November 22, 2023

There is so much depth to this piece. I wish I could see it in person. The background of tree branches, and what looks to be a small door with boards across it or maybe flat stone stacked in a wall?, the squares of a tile floor offer an idea that it may e a building like a school? Something next to the shoes of interest, but I can’t see it well on the computer? I can’t really see the bag or parcel next to the figure well enough to make them out, the computer image gets blurred if I try to zoom in. The use of the triangle is very interesting, that and the color pulls my attention and interest in. I’d love to hear about it. The figure is beautifully drawn, the part in the hair is an interesting and unusual shape. The sadness exudes from the figure even though we cannot see the face. It’s beautifully done, I’d love to hear you talk about it.

I am so glad I can still see your artwork from a distance. I miss seeing and keeping up with you from across the street. I know that this time of life gets very busy with new cool, fun, exciting activities and offerings through school and peer experiences. I can see it reflected in your artwork. You are a wonderful artist and musician.
- Amy on October 4, 2023
Mina! This is so cool.

Mina, I so wish I could see this in person. It is hard to appreciate the texture and detail virtually. Maybe when you are with me you can talk to me about it so I don’t miss anything. Some of it is apparent and other aspects I believe are more subtle and hidden a bit. I fully enjoyed the opportunity to view it this way though. Thank you for sharing you beautiful collage.
- Amy on February 1, 2023
Very neat Mina and all very you.

So glad I can see your artwork from a distance. I always loved ceramics classes. I love your textures, colors and shapes, Thank you!

Your use of warm color seems to embrace the warm climate of Florida, and the green makes me think of all the species of animals and plants that live in Florida. Once again, I enjoy the blending of color, the texture you create—sand, fish or reptile scales—it makes me pause and think. Most of all I love the use if the irregular, unique and strong letters that make up MINA. It appears your name is embracing the state from which your family came. It shows me the individuality—nonconforming shapes; it gives me a feel for the solid foundation of family heritage—the shape, size an structure of the letters; yet, most of all, it reminds me of your connection to Florida—your name embraces the entire state. It is such a creative and thought provoking piece. Thank you for sharing your creativity with all of us.

I really enjoy the blending of the background, the use of multimedia to create such an intriguing and textured affect. The circular structure that holds the eye peering from it is beautifully done. The three dimensional aspect is so well done; the apparent pressure from within is almost tangible; the curiosity within the iris and pupil shines from within; and again, I marvel at your beautiful merging of color.
- Amy on December 13, 2022

I only wish grandpa Roy and grandma Kay could see your artwork. Grandpa loved print making. He would enjoy the use of of shape, asymmetry, color, connection and interruption of space and pattern, negative and positive space. It is all very well done. You are a talented artist is so many ways: Musial instruments, voice, acting and visual arts.
- Amy on December 13, 2022
This is super cool, Mina!

I absolutely love this! Makes your moms Florida heart swell. I love that the green looks like alligator scales! This is such a cool piece of art. I can't wait to share it with your grandmas and Uncle Steele.
