Wynn! This exploration of textures is interesting to me. They seem to have different energies. Did you enjoy this exploration? I can see you working with these textures in different colors or maybe even yarn? Love, Mingus

Furry, rough, jagged, slashed, checkered sounds like the start of a poem. It makes me think of your exploration of the bamboo stick we explored as you constructed an arrow that FLEW! Each texture you created tells adifferent story. I bet you will use those in other projects. Love, Mingus

Hi Wynn- I thought I wrote a comment...Perhaps instead, I just went immediately online and bought a set of cards. I just finished writing a note to my new friend, Connie, who I met at a wedding this summer. She will get a kick out of knowing it is your artwork. It is interesting and cheerful. What a great way to start the year. Mingus

Hey Wynn, This looks like some kind of printing. Of course I love the color. I am also curious about how big the piece is. Were you inspired by anything in particular? Love, Mingus

Hi Wynn, I love the energy of this art. I like the idea of a bunch of food stuff and eating utensils having a conversation. It makes me think. I have questions for you I'll ask when I see you. Afterwards, I saw the artist's statement (I could not read it well online) and the description of a W.O.W. work. Good for you to choose this challenge. I can wait to hear more about it. Love, Mingus

Wow, Wynn, I jumped right on this because I knew what you were doing on Thursday might have been influenced by what you were doing in class. This piece is wonderfully interesting. It could be weaving with paper. I can't wait to talk about it. Mingus

As I told you in person I really like this piece. I was wondering who your inspiration artist was so I looked her up. It introduced me to a museum I had not hear of in Washington DC. I will go there when next I am in DC. Thanks for the introduction and exploring her style!

WAIT! WYNN! This looks like the art I commented upon last week. ....but there seems to be a 3 dimensional piece to it.. Does it unfold? Is that why the teeth are there? What did your art teacher as you to do? I am SO curious.

Hi Wynn, I had not seen this one yet. The waterwash of the interior colors reminds me of the other piece though the color is wonderfully bold and vivid in this one. The map maker in me sees a map; Wynn world, perhaps? Thanks to you and your teacher for sharing.

Wow! Wouldn't this be an awesome costume? It includes some favorite colors of mine. I am really interested about how this art makes my eyes roam. I was first intrigued by the bold swirlies and zigs. Then the geometrics in the middle with their water fades. Then finally the purple and yellow lines that create depth. Yahoooo!

I did not see this one before. I would call it dancin', dancin' machine! There is such joyous energy in this.

Such fun, Wynn. I am a fan of circles and crayons. Isn't exploring with materials interesting? Things happen that you might not expect. I like how my eye is drawn to the single circle in the lower corner and how your red and orange create a background depth. Yahoooo! You are off to another year of art.

Of course I will tiptoe when the flowers are sleeping!

Hi Wynn! I have thought about this comment enough that I was sure I’d written it… I’m fascinated with pattern and symmetry is a part of that. Your butterfly, which looks monarch like, shows how you worked with symmetry and asymmetry. I wonder if you are noticing these patterns elsewhere?
Posted 2 years ago by Mingus

Sooo cool, Wynn. I am fascinated by symmetry and asymmetry. Was there something you like a lot as you created this art?

Love love love!

Hi Wynn, I can't wait to talk about this one. It looks like a portrait of Edison. The colors complment each other and I an curious about your steps to make this art. Happy snow day.

Wow, Wynn. This one looks like a pond or puddle with a reflection in it..or perhaps a critter. So interesting.
Posted 2 years ago by Mingus

A snow man.. I bet it last longer than the ones we have been building recently! Is that the really light modeling material? Such fun.

Hey, WYNN!! I like your art efforts. Lots of subjects, colors and ideas. I would guess that you enjoy doing this. The animal in this one has a pretty rainbow body and seems to be more amusing than frightening. Maybe on it's way to a Bee party. Keep up the good work. GM

Hi Wynn, I did not know much about Kandinsky so I looked him up. I can see how this piece was inspired by his work. I especially like the swoop of brown to yellow next to the the four blue circles. I love getting to see your art. Thanks for sharing.

Oh Wynn! Such lush colors. Oil pastels??? Mondrian reminds my of my childhood. I love that your work shows his inspiration but also is all your own! I AM a triangle girl. Love you.

Wow, Wynn, I love this collage art. Isn't it interesting to use black as a background? It makes me think of a creature with a flashlight. I wonder what you were thinking as you created it? Love, Mingus
