I can see you are paying great attention to details! Keep it up. The texture is well done and the light and shadow as well. Focusing and noticing things in your references makes better art... you are on track

Benjamin... great work... I can tell you are practicing for sure...I agree with you that there are a few "random lines". Make sure to really take your time to make thhngs as neat or "refined" as you are capable of. Nonetheless...you are making some strides with your work. Keep up the inspired art.

Benjamin, lovely painting and your title of "The Lonely Tree" immediately reminded me of one of the most photographed trees in North America called "Lone Cypress". We visited Pebble Beach/Monterey California when your father was about 11 and I'm sure we have a picture of this tree in one of our photo albums. Look it up on google.
