This seems to be multi-media, paper and perhaps fabric rather than painted. While it is obviously an insect the long tail suggests it could also be a kite, which of course is another way of flying. Cora's imagination always surprises me.

I know I had commented on this but don't see it. There is such a joyful and playful exuberance about these figures and the little squiggly lines indicating motion are inspired.

Good job Cora, are these drawings of gymnastic moves. Love ?? this. NaNa

Since Cora is both dancer and gymnast, I think these capture elements of both. The little lines indicating movement give the drawings "life" that they wouldn't otherwise have. Her talent always amazes me and I hope she continues to create her very special art.

Cora, This is a very colorful young lady. Your color choices are good.

It seems impossible that this work of art was created by an eight-year old, but then it's Cora and of course she did. The "little friend" on her shoulder is priceless.

An artist I had no heard of. Not surprised that Cora got to the "heart" of the style (pun intended) and her palette of colors has always been inspired.

I love this, how the small body and the elongated trunk and legs make it "surreal."

Your elephant is very light on his (her) feet. Good job ! Love it Nana

I like that this is "multi-media" . . . the tissue paper(?) creates a texture that watercolors alone cannot. Kudos to Cora's teacher too.

Being exposed to Georgia O'Keefe in second grade is truly outstanding, it took me forty years to "find her" and be stunned by her art, especially the flowers. Having seven-year-olds not just know her work but also have them envision their response to her is not something any teacher thought of when I was in elementary school.
