Ben! You followed the assignment to perfection, and in true Ben style you made it your own. That is one yummy pear.

So happy to see more original Ben Friedmans! This one is colorful and arranged in a pleasing manner. They remind me of sushi rolls and little tornados. What was in your mind while you were creating this, Ben? xoxo

Ben, what a great addition to your art portfolio! The colors and form are excellent renditions of Mondrian’s style. Well done, Ben!

This creature, with its bright colors and winsome smile, is certainly the chameleon I’d like in my environment. It looks happy and well loved. Like you!

Ben, this friend you have created for Gio and Lily is the happiest creature I could imagine. Does this cat have a name? If not, I suggest Doodles for all its dots, spots, and stripes. This happy kitty makes me smile. And it doesn't make me sneeze!

Oh Ben! I love this brave eagle next to our American flag, two beautiful symbols of our democracy. Well done!

These are happy acorns because you are such a happy kid, Ben. You will grow to be a wonderful man just like these acorns will become mighty oaks. ?? from Nana

Ben, you have reimagined poultry in a new and delightful way. This chicken looks too adorable to eat. You’re adorable too, but Nana could eat you right up! xoxo

I love the symmetry of this. A cloud for each house and one for good luck. I also like that the homes wear their roofs like little hats. Hats off to you, Ben, for another creative expression. xoxo

Ben, I think you must be a happy boy because you put a smile into all your works of art. You can’t see me, but I’m smiling, too. ??

Ben, I wonder if these lovely ladybugs are on their way to visit with the industrious workers from your artwork Leaf Ants. If so, I hope they all have a picnic and sing joyous songs of Spring.

Ben, this owl is looking right at me and getting ready to hoot. Good job!

This is kind of an otherworldly pumpkin, maybe a creation Tim Burton would hang on his wall. Or Ben’s Nana. Definitely Ben’s Nana.

This picture reminds me of our neighborhood after a big storm when the sky turned blue again and we all went outside to see if the trees were still standing. Some were, but many were splintered like the artist shows here. Being proud of the ones that survived did not make us love the broken ones less. I see that love here.

This pomegranate looks good enough to eat. I can feel the tart juice dripping down my chin. Love the seeds that got away.

These ants mean business in a good way. They’re working and living together like a community should. We should be like ants.

Bats sometimes get a bad reputation for being scary, but Ben shows the sweet whimsical side of these misunderstood creatures. Nicely done, Ben.
