Addie, art means different things to the people who see it. I see two owls sitting in a pine tree and its snowing. If we were cross country skiing and we heard them, it might scare us. But then we could go home and listen to owl sounds on the computer until we found the right sound. I hope someday you and I go cross country skiing together. Would you like that?

Addie, I think you have been outside looking at the wildflowers. These flowers look like New England Asters and Goldenrod. Goldenrod makes a lot of people sneeze! Some people don't like it but I think it's beautiful. But, I know a blue-eyed blond little girl who's even more beautiful to me. Can you guess who that might be? You're pretty smart. I like this family of chickens! Isn't it interesting that the boy birds are always prettier than the girl birds? I guess it helps us know which is which. I sure know which bird is the rooster when I go in the chicken room. i bet you do, too!

ADDIE! Do you remember the night we were walking around the field and we saw the beaver splash his tail and those honking birds flying overhead? Those the same kind of birds. I saw your dad the next day and he told me you were excited about seeing them. I'm glad we got to see them together.

You did a great job showing how all those fish are breathing! Too bad we can't breath underwater like fish. Nah, we can only breathe OUT. We need to get our heads out of the water to breath in, unless we have SCUBA tanks with regulators on. Did you know your Momma used to do that? She did! Now she has more important things to do, like taking care of you and Aubs and helping Daddy run the farm. I hope you get to try SCUBA diving some day. You get to see so much! But you can see a lot snorkeling, too. My favorite fish is the Yellow-tailed Damselfish. Maybe we can see it together in a few years. I would like that very much.
