Shelby, your hanok is so cool! Love that it can be opened so that I can see both the inside and outside. The picture on the back wall is my favorite part. Hanoks are often built with mountains behind them so I know the family living in your hanok would love the picture too. Be sure to bring your replica home so that I can see it when I visit. Love Grandma

Shelby, I cannot wait to see this at home and have you explain. What a cool project. Keep it up, kiddo!!!

Somehow you kept the yellow, orange, pink pattern going....even in the tail and finns!!! I picture your colorful fish slithering through the waves and ripples that surround him. He looks like he is sniffing the ocean floor for a tasty morsel. You have given him so much personality! Think you should name him and write a story about his adventures. Love seeing your art work, Shel! Love, Grandma

I am so pleased that you are learning about other cultures and their art. Knowing how much work goes into a project helps to appreciate it even more. Blue and white is one of my favorite color combinations and I love the way you have used the colors. The final glaze gives your pot an amazing shine! Hope to hear more about the process used and see the pot when I visit. Love, Grandma

Shelby, the bamboo definitely gives your drawing a 3 D look! Great job adding the curved lines! You inspired me to google more information about pandas! Glad I am not having bamboo for supper! Making the panda, and then placing him on the background, really makes him pop. I am impressed! Love, Grandma

What a fashionable little bear! Her knit hat and scarf colors blend perfectly and the wavy lines accent the knit pattern. The technique used to draw her nose assures me that she is a friendly bear! Thanks for sharing her with me, Shelby.

Dear Shelby, What a wonderful treat! Today I got an email that showed me all of the fun projects you have been doing in art class. Your snail (Shel,Shel). Is adorable and my favorite. The one you just finished reminds me of a bridge with 3 people running across being watched by animals! You will have to tell me what you see when you look at it.
