I really love your cardinal! He's all puffed up to stay warm on a winter's day. It reminds of some of the work by Charley Harper.

Nice job Madison! Your cardinal looks real. And lovely lines on the birch tree to mark the bark. Birds fluff up their feathers when it gets cold to create air pockets that helps to keep the cold away. Your cardinal looks plump so he must be fluffing his feathers. And the face - nice job getting the eyes and beak in the right places.

Shoot for the stars, Madi! I bet you didn't know that the blue stars you drew is a needlepoint stitch I have done many, many times. It's called the Smirna stitch. We can try it together sometime, you can draw it, then I will stitch it. And if you want, you can stitch it too.
