I really like the seascape you drew. The water and the waves are so colorful and active. I think I would like to go to the beach and swim there. I don’t see any fish, maybe the water is too rough and the fish are staying close to the bottom of the water to stay. I also like the way you framed the mountain in the background. I wonder if a slide could be built on the mountain that would take you from the top and empty you in the water. That would be fun I think. Keep drawing and keep your dreams alive. Love, Grandpa S.

I can see myself in a long dark cave with just a flashlite illuminating the wall. I also see some figures on the sides that of the wall. It looks like a wheel, an antelope lying down and a duck nearby. There is also a pink and a purple shading on that wall. These pictures tell me something about the people who drew them. That’s a good reason to learn about them. This is a very educational picture. Well done!

This is a very unique winter scene. I see a snowgirl with red hair and a scarf around her neck. It is a happy snowgirl waving with a stick arm. In the background is another snowgirl also waving hello I think they’re good friends who like to play together in the snow. I like it when you draw pictures with happy colors. Love, Grandpa S.

What an interesting picture you have drawn. To me it looks like a tree with butterfly wings. A “butterfly tree,” perhaps? And I also see a hole where a little animal can make a nest. You have a special eye for drawing. Keep it up! Love, Grandpa S.

Such an imaginative picture. People sledding on a snowy evening. Delicate snowflakes falling from the sky, filling the air with music. You have made a very creative picture. Keep up the good work!

I can’t wait to hear the idea behind this creation. I can tell you put a lot of thought into it as there is so much in the detail. You are such an artist!

What a clever mosaic! Cotton swabs arranged to make a scary Halloween skeleton. I also see a witch and a spider and web in the background. The skeleton is saying, “This is fun.” It reminds me of the poem about the five pumpkins. One says, “I just want to have fun.” More talented art work from a great granddaughter! Love, Grandpa S.

Your drawing skills continue to get better every time I look at your pictures. This looks like a lion in a field with trees. I like the big flower and the sun up above. I hope he is not going to eat anyone. That would be very scary. I would like to pet him, but not if he wants them eat me. Love, Grandpa S.

Carrigan, was this a bird in your backyard or from a book your art teacher read? How did you get the idea to make this Bluebird or is it a Bluejay? Love this creation and love you too, Gram

This is really a very pretty egg! I like the colors you used to make it. Colored Easter eggs always remind me of how Jesus died and rose from the tomb. The egg looks like a tomb. When it is broken, it looks like the tomb was broken open so we could look inside and see that Jesus was alive again. You did a great job! Have a Happy Easter! Love, Grandpa S.
