Elijah, I like this picture because of the elements of line. You did a wonderful job of showing a city scape with lines.

Elijah, I love this painting. Water color can be a difficult medium to use. I really like how you are showing perspective with adding details to the objects in your picture. These details add depth. Nice job. I am going to have to order another magnet.

Elijah, I love your giraffe. Giraffes are so tall and you did a wonderful job of creating the effect of being tall. I smile every time I look at your giraffe's face because it has such a happy face. What a great idea of ripping the paper to make your grass look more 3 dimensional. I loved this so much that I bought a mug to drink my coffee out of.

Elijah, I love this work and the use of shapes. When I asked you about this art you said it was in the US during the day and Russia at night. I love the contrast you use in your pictures.

Elijah, This one reminds me of the ants that carry the food back to their nests. It filled with so many beautiful colors. Keep up the good work. Love you, Mom

Elijah, this picture looks like you got to use watercolors. I see a couple of shapes where you tried to blend colors.. yellow and blue make green and red and blue make purple. Working with watercolors can be hard but it is such a great way to learn how to mix colors. I'm glad your art teacher is teaching you about mixing colors to make new colors. Great job. Love, Mimi

Elijah, this is a very interesting picture of your hands. I am wondering how you chose your colors. The colors go really well together. What would happen if you tried to add a little orange or yellow with these colors? I know the blue you used is one of your favorite colors and you want your decorated backpack to be this color. Keep up the hard work in art class and enjoy being art happy:). Luv, Mimi

Elijah, what a fun jack-o-lantern. It looks like it is missing some teeth, kinda like you. When I come to visit you, I want to carve a pumpkin that looks just like your picture. Maybe you can help me. Luv, Mimi

Elijah, this picture is so beautiful. It reminds me of a beautiful fall tree that is beginning to lose its leaves. You did a wonderful job of making the leaves look like they are moving. I love it so much I am going to buy a magnet for my refrigerator. XO Luv, Mimi

Elijah, I love this picture of the Colorado mountains. I loved when you came and camped in the mountains this past summer. Do you remember fishing, going to the hot springs, playing in the lake and making s'mores. I am going to buy this picture for a Christmas ornament for my Christmas tree. I will always think of you and our times in the mountains. Luv, Mimi
