A study of perspective!! I love this topic. I'm happy to see one of Abby's latest creations. It seems it's been a while since LJCDS had sent artwork and I for one was missing it. I love Abby's interpretation of the assignment, especially the tall and colorful buildings lining the road. The thick trunked trees remind me of ancient Sequoias and redwoods which also live in California, just much farther north. These are favorites of mine.

Another unique project idea with the use of the snow globes. I had to look up Miku and Sakura Miku as I had no idea what these figures are or who they represent. Thanks to Abby for the introduction! I like how Abby has given each equal space in the globe to display their beautiful long hair in their favorite color.

Another fascinating project and execution from Abby. I love the idea of giving thought to repurposing items so they don't contribute to waste, while creating an art collage. Again Abby's expressive faces are wonderful.

Such a thoughtful project idea, considering the environment and a different culture in combination with artistic expression. Well done Abigail. Love the expressive eyes on your figure!

Thank you for sharing Abby's still life. I was especially interested in the pencil drawings surrounding the fruit and veggie basket and the possible stories they may represent.

Spectacular sunset and stunning colors! The sun's reflection on the open ocean really caught my eye!

I love the color combination and how snuggly the characters look together. You can feel the kawaii!

Looks to be a very interesting assignment. I found 2 pictures completed by Abby in the gallery of projects for this assignment. I like Abby's interpretations in both. And as there's candy in both pictures and even what looks like an ice cream sandwich complete with chocolate chips in one of them, I wonder if Abby got as hungry as me when she was finished? YUM!

Well done, Abigail!! Another thoughtfully created composition, with many details that reflect who little Abby is at this time in her life. And that beautiful cascading hair!! Love, Nana

Another great piece, Abby! I especially love the effect of the watercolors as they blur and fade into what looks to be handmade paper. Great composition too. I'm guessing maybe the little guy is Cinnamonroll? Well done Abigail! And thanks for sharing.

Excellent work, dear Abigail!! There are so many features of this drawing to love: the use of color, the composition, the outlines of the pine trees, but my favortite is the Snowy Owl's eyes. She (or he) seems so happy to be "woo-wooing" into the frosty night. Very well done, Abby!!

Hi Abby, The magical birch tree forest is one of my other favorites. I love what you did with the tree trunks and all the little details which make the forest magical. I'd love to know the story behind those. And the fruit still life is wonderful too!! Well done Abigail!!

Hi Abby, your still life inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe is one of my favorite. Such bright and warm colors made me smile. Plus, O'Keeffe is one of my favorite artists. In Santa Fe New Mexico, there is a wonderful museum with just her art work.

Abby, Love your 'sun flowers' and the pastel background colors. I enjoy all 10 of your artworks and the changes in your style and skills from pre-K to Kindergarten. Keep up the great work. PopPop.
