Dear Maeve, I didn't realize that I forgot to comment on your self-portrait. I have compared this to your other self portraits and I love all of them. I see that you are really concentrating on details now and your work is getting to be very stream-lined. Did you use a mirror to do this? You are always smiling in your self-portraits and I like that about you. You are turning into a fine artist!

Hi Maeve! I think this might be the first car you have ever drawn. I like your puppy on it, and I think puppies would be a good decoration for a car. Good work!

Dear Maeve, I would like to comment on this artwork. It is very well painted. I like the way you mixed colors to get just the right colors, and I very much like your leaves which are made with one stroke of your brush! You should do more painting because you are so good at it. And, as always, I admire the way you use all of your picture plane (paper); this good design!

Hi Maeve, I am just getting a chance look at your still-life of school supplies. You did a very realistic drawing of your glue bottle. You show a good eye in getting all the detail in. I especially feel you worked hard on the cap because you did a very good job on it. You should look at and try to draw just everything. This way you will learn to really look and see as an artist does. Keep drawing! Well done!

Hi, Maeve! I am looking at your new artwork that was sent to me, "Bird on a Limb." You are such a good painter! You always make sure you use the whole paper for your composition. That is a great silhouette of a bird on a branch on a sunshiny day. Silhouettes are not easy, but you have done a great job with this artwork!

Hi Maeve, It is always wonderful to see the artwork that you are making in kindergarten. I very much like your landscape made of cut papers, some of which you made yourself. I particularly like your red sky and mountains made out of handwritten sheets---very creative. I make lots of landscapes but I never thought to use cut paper. Keep up the good art!
