I love this simple caterpillar with it's joyful, whimsical posture and expression. the focus if her work is definitely on the sunshine and caterpillar, leaving the setting to the imagination, suggesting that the happiness you see in this art could be anywhere or everywhere, which is a really positive commentary on the way she sees the world. Art could spread joy; and this piece really does that. I feel happier and grateful after viewing a piece of art like this.

This work is amazing on several levels...1- It takes up the whole page which keeps the viewer in the picture instead of skirting the boarder. 2-The contrast in colors are striking, yet find a wonderful balance, meaning you can pause on any part of her picture and yet not be captive to any part of it. This means you see the whole picture easily. 3-Her use of simple shapes like circles and rectangles and great looking repeating, yet different saw tooth patterns tie this art piece all together. 4-I especially enjoy her use of white space to make part of her picture let the other parts pop. All in all this is a very enjoyable piece of art that I could look at again and again. I am her Grampy. I spent a decade doing artwork, so I thought sending a real comment with an analysis from the eyes and heart of former artist would pay her the best tribute. I hope to see more of her art.
