Lindy, Your artwork is very colorful. The sun reminds me of warm summer days, and the birds remind me of the eagles flying over the lake at our farm. The cows and horses love the green grass. Have you seen it when they use the horses to round up the cows? Do you know that when I was about Caroline’s age I was helping my uncle round up cows out of what he called the “woods lot” to bring them into the barn to feed them. I rode a horse named Old Nell. And before I brought the cows into the barn, I got hay out of the barn loft to put in the manger and then I added corn from the corn crib as a treat on top of the hay. Your picture reminds me of these happy memories. Love you lots,

Oh my goodness, Lindy! This is fabulous. Giraffes are not easy to draw but you got the slope in their necks and bodies just right.

Lindy, including all of your letters and numbers is really neat. Many years ago girls would sew something they called a “Sampler” showing they knew their letters and numbers and how to sew. Love, Abby
