I love that this cicada is a Girl Scout, and is Cool, Never Mean, Exciting, Correct (Most of the Time.) What a great way to be.

When I was in college, we had “Secret Sisters” in the house where I lived, and sometimes we would leave surprise notes with the envelope decorated for our Secret Sister. I would have liked to have you decorate an envelope like this.

I ordered this as a cutting board. It arrived today and looks beautiful in my kitchen! I hope you will use it when we cook together, Arden.

Beautiful bird's nest. Makes me think of the busy birds under the deck.

These birds make me happy! I remember when you were in a computer meeting g with me and Liz Garst from the Whiterock Conservancy asked about your favorite bird. You said the blue jay, and she said they are responsible for planting most of the oak trees in Iowa!

I love that you featured tall buildings and a street with moving vehicles for this city scene. It makes me wonder what is happening behind the windows in the buildings and the cars.

I am taking a class about trees called Treekeepers. I really love this tree! It shows that it was planted properly because it has a root crown where you can see the roots going into the ground. If a tree comes straight out of the ground like a telephone pole, it was planted too deep and may not live as long.

I love this piece - and you did a great job of keeping the colors of the rainbow in order while making the piece interesting by not having TOO much order!

One of the things I love about this piece is that it has two stars. I used to do star doodles all the time, and you will notice on the wooden Sticks frame around my microwave in my kitchen that there are stars in the corners. I asked for this when the frame was being made because everything on that frame indicates something about me. I will show you sometime! I will enjoy having you tell me more about this piece.

I love these colors! This makes me think of a person who has lots of positive energy, just like you. Your work reminds me a little of the artist Jeff Koons, but you definitely have your own style.
