This winter scene reminds me that we are overdue for a nice big snow fall where the flakes are like cotton and make for great sledding when they get packed down from a few runs down the hill. Very nice James!

James, I'm so excited for the art I'm going to see from you now that you're a first grader! This picture is beautiful! The process with the crayon under the paint is very nice. As usual, you let your creative art self show thru. Love you! Grams ?

Wooly Lamb has a beautiful blanket, made of wool no doubt. Her pillow looks like a flag from somewhere in the world. James, you are my favorite artist.

James, in my estimation you may have created your greatest work yet with this. And as you get older I suspect I will tell you this again and again. A nice field of grain has tones of yellow, brown, tan running through it to make it look so real. And the road and the birds. My favorite among so many favorites. Pops

Wow, James, this is very abstract. I like it! These primary colors look interesting together the way you have arranged them. Did you do a crayon rubbing on top of everything? Nice job!

James this is a beautiful snow scene. You really caught the cold, the light, and the snow! I love it. You aught to send a postcard of this to Aunt Anne in Montana.

James, I like how you have included the color black for one of your trees. It goes very well along side the green and red trees. The round decorations kind of sparkle and make the artwork so festive. I'm glad you love art. I'm also glad you are my grandson. You really are a good artist!
