I love your cup of hot chocolate, Ben! Did you make it with pastels? The shade and shadow - especially on the cup - is really GREAT!

This one is my favorite, one of Ben’s because it really looks like the shadow is coming from the sculpture, but Ben drew the shadow. It looks so accurate!?

The detail on the wing feathers is beautiful, Ben! Uncle Henri loves all of DaVinci's drawings, so I'll have to show this one to him for sure. Keep up the great work! xoxo

Dear Benjamin: I LOVE the way you have captured the image of the wingtips of the African jungle bird! You have done an excellent job with creating your image full of details, textures, shadows and 3-dimensional height! I could be wrong, but I think you have titled your piece: “Wing Span Soft: Lives in the jungle…of west Africa” Were you using a mirror? If so, that is an interesting way to challenge the viewer's understanding of your work. Even if you didn't use a mirror, you certainly did a great job!!! Love, Grandma Betty

Dear Benjamin: I really like your farm picture with the red barn! You are doing very well in using perspective views. Your flowers and vegetation along the driveway make the farm look so welcoming. The next time I come to visit, I will watch for the farm you painted--I bet I can find it! Love, Grandma Betty
