There are so many things that I like about this self portrait. The portrait displays a thoughtful expression and a calm look. I see the influence of Matisse in the use of bold colors, especially on her top! The background is an incredible display of color and movement. A wonderful portrait of a truly wonderful girl!

I like the use of color in the treasure map. The beautiful blue of the vast ocean looks like it is swirling around the mysterious island. Anyone using the treasure map would have to be an excellent navigator! I like the shape of the island - it reminds me of octopus tentacles. Good luck to the sailors who find this map--I hope they reach "home base"!

The pattern of this clay pot is very interesting. I like the idea of creating and stacking the clay coils. Making a clay pot like this has many steps that require focus and creativity. The color and the glaze are incredibly beautiful. I have seen clay pots in museums and I find it interesting that many areas across the globe are known for their clay pots. I appreciate the fact that the clay pot is both useful and beautiful--well done!

I immediately thought how wonderful it would be to eat this donut-then I realized that the top is covered with real sprinkles! The sculpture shows that art can be fun. Creating a sculpture of an everyday object using various materials requires a lot of creativity - this sculpture is delicious (just kidding!!) I really like it!

I have always been fascinated by mosaics! The colorful beads and tiles create such an interesting pattern of different shapes and sizes. I wonder how difficult it is to create a mosaic because I have never made one myself. I admire the artistic blend of materials used to create this piece-great job!

I like the brightness of the chalk that was used in this picture. The bulbs remind me of the lights that we put on our Christmas tree when I was growing up. The black background is perfect - it makes the colorful bulbs stand out. I also like the tangled wire loop because that's what happens to Christmas lights! Great job !!!

I think that this picture is perfect for HALLOWEEN! The colorful sky is the perfect backdrop for the spooky house. In some ways, the house looks like it could move or walk and the sky looks like it is howling and windy. I wouldn't want to visit the house, especially on October 31! GREAT JOB!

I absolutely LOVE this piece! It really evokes wonderfully spooky Halloween feeling. I see the lights are on in the home -- I wonder who's there!

St. Basil's Cathedral has to be the most colorful and expressive piece of architecture that I've ever seen! I like this art for its black and white depiction of high buildings with both peaks and domes. The curved architecture on the right is very creative - some of the curved walls remind me of cathedral domes, and I wonder what it would be like to explore the inside of its very thin structure. The background colors seem to swirl around and the colors remind me of those found on St. Basil's Cathedral - very nice!!

HERE COMES THE SUN! What a wonderful song and what a delightful picture. The bold yellow strip in the middle of the picture looks like the sun's energy bursting through the darkness. I think it shows hope after darkness and warm sunny skies after cold gloomy weather. This picture reminds me of a happy new day - everyone should be able to experience a happy new day!

I love this piece! It reminds me of Christmas, which is my favorite time of year. The sparkly glitter looks like it could either be snow falling or the trail of magic dust left by Santa's sleigh. I would love to put this picture by my Christmas tree in December. Beautifully done!

The trees in this picture create a beautiful scene. I think the swirling glitter that wraps around the trees represents a very windy and snowy day. How quiet it must be to stand among these trees and enjoy the beauty of shining snowflakes. My birthday is in the winter and I always think that winter is special!

I really like the BOLD COLORS of this painting! I also sense movement when I look at the picture - the large paisley at the bottom makes the smaller paisleys at the top seem like they are drifting away! Very nice use of color, especially the yellow background. Great job!

I am always impressed by the beauty of nature - especially when I am looking at a blooming flower. Each petal seems to have a perfect space within the entire bloom. I like this artwork because it shows the different ways that flowers open from the center, and how the flower petals are evenly spaced. The paint colors are pretty, too!

I have never worked with clay! I wonder if this type of art is difficult to make. I especially like the owl's eyes-they are very expressive. If this owl is frowning, maybe it is time for her/him to stop hunting and go to sleep. Owl's love to hunt but they have to rest, too! I will think about this owl the next time I hear a "hoo hoo hoo" coming from the treetops! Great work!

Excellent work! I look at this artwork and see the red dot in the middle as a source of positive energy. The power from the dot radiates to the outside of the bright circle. Maybe the purple, blue and green circles need more ENERGY...so the red circle shares its energy with those circles to create inspiration, confidence and courage!

The colors in this artwork are so BOLD!! The dark reddish color used for one part of the spider web tells me that something crazy is going on there! The spiders look like they are about to enjoy lunch. This is a fascinating look into the complex workings of nature. I like it very much!

I really like this painting! The giraffe looks like she (or he) is looking at something interesting--maybe a nice leafy tree to munch on. The sky is beautiful-it reminds me of a day when it rains and then the sun comes out with a beautiful rainbow. I love to watch giraffes walk and run with their long necks and long legs! Great job!

This painting expresses the beauty of nature! The shapes seem to bend and swirl almost like they are dancing! The painting reminds me that nature continues to grow and change right before our eyes. The natural world gives us so much and we should always give it love and care.

I really like the bug--maybe it's a ladybug? I think the bug is ready to go to a birthday party where all of the other bugs will be dressed up! The bug is very colorful and fancy!

Nature is a wonderful thing. Looking at this picture makes me think of nature in a new way. All of the trees are so different and the sky seems to be changing color. I like the way some of the trees are in the front and only one tree is off in the distance. It would be interesting to walk among the trees.

I love this picture--it makes me want to meet the turtle! The turtle has such a beautiful and colorful shell. Maybe this turtle is swimming in bright blue water--that would be a happy day!

I love the bright colors of the fish--the colors make me happy! The fish looks happy, too, swimming in the cool blue water. Great Job!!
