Oooooh, this one is dreamy! Love the blending and shadows...and it somehow feels as though it were designed through a "soft-focus" lens or something. So peaceful and beautiful. Not to mention that sky! Nothing quite like a "Colorado Blue" sky. (*Fun fact: I was going to submit the "Colorado Blue Sky" color name to Crayola...and one of my friends in the Valley had *already* done so! Hah!) Great job capturing Colorado here, Ave. :)

Ave, you are really good with this technique! Your shading techniques with he blues and purple make it look like it is made of crystal! If the sunshine hit this, it would cast rainbows across the room! This is one of my favorite pieces. Excellent work!

Hey, Aver! I like your color choices on this piece. The Colorado sky actually does turn that blue! Your little flowers are pretty, and the shadows on the mountains. Love you!

Colorado!!!!! Love this one! I may need to get a print of it to hang next to your other mountain painting I love so much!

This is beautiful! Now I’m craving a colorful cupcake! I like the shading detail and the color blends in the frosting — it looks light and creamy. The folded cupcake paper is so realistic I want to peel it off and take a huge bite! I wonder if my teeth would turn blue? Well done and mouth- watering likeness!

This turned out so good!!! Love that you can see the marbling of the cake! The depth of the frosting turned out excellent too, good use of shading!

Avery, I really like the color detail in this bird. The color variations and lines reflect the patterns of feathers without going into linear detail. The eyes are perfect on this bird, bringing him to life. Well done!

Avery I love this!! Texture can be so hard to do with watercolors, and these feathers looks positively lovely! Great work. ??

You are so talented! We have seen birds like this here in Dominican Rebublic ??

I like the intricate shapes in these mandalas. Your color choices and variations make them pop. Have you ever worked with tesselations? Similar patterns, repeated and flipped. By the way....... you still owe me a zen tangle!
Posted 3 years ago by Nina (fan)

Avery, your use of shading and light make this ring pop look quite realistic. Excellent work with the proportions; perfectly straight lines, shapes and angles exactly right. The reflection and shading in the ring part make your subject completely recognizable. Your artistic eye is getting stronger with every piece. You truly have talent, my girl!

This is the most delightful thing ever, Avs! So whimsical and realistic...Uncle Nash and I saw it yesterday, and were blown away. Beautifully done! Gimme dat Ring Pop! "It's a lollipop without a stick...a ring of flavor you can lick! Riiiiiiiing Pop!" (That was the old commercial jingle. Brought to you by your old aunt) ;) ;) ;) Love, Nea
