Willa, I thought I had left you an extensive comment on this work! I guess I didn’t save it. Anyway, I love your contrast of colors here and of the shading you have done. I looked up this mountain, and apparently lots of artists have found it to be worthy of painting! I find this very interesting how you have used the yellows and the dark greens at the beginning or the front of the picture. Mayeye continues to go throughout the picture ending up at that mountain. Your picture has good motion and it also has really good use of contrast to keep it interesting. Thank you for sharing your work with grandma.

I just looked at Willa's artwork. Her use of colors and shapes is remarkable for as 2nd grader. Composition of each subject is delightfully integrated into each piece. I have questions: What were her inspiration for each? What medium is she using. You have talent, Willa, share more!

Again, your art has wonderful rhythm. This picture sings to me! Your choice of color is lovely. Although the flowers with their orange drawl my eye to them first, the use of detail such as the scallops, the diagonal zigzags all of those techniques keep my eye, going around the entire picture, appreciating color, as well as form and shape. I could see this picture, becoming material, a cloth that could be used to make a dress. Very lovely.

I’m not sure what medium you were using for this. It looks like maybe there is wax on the paper to leave some of the paper white for accent on the flower leaves and petals. This is very well balanced, drawing my eye throughout the picture. I would love to know more about how this picture came into being and what medium you were using did you find this picture easy or difficult to do?

Perfect picture to create laughter in grandma! I could see a story being written around this creature. Oh my gosh I am giggling just looking at the sky. I feel sorry for the dragonfly. Maybe he’s just smiling and saying hello but I don’t think so or he could be lonely wants to play. You could write your own story about this one character, and this one drawing.

This is truly magnificent. In the desert, one of the greatest beauties is to see the sun reflecting vibrantly off the sand, dunes and pyramids. The camels are majestic. I truly hope you are framing these pictures and will hang them in your room because they are wonderful. This is fabulous. it captures the quiet vast feeling of emptiness in the desert to you and I who do not live in the desert, we may be just see the emptiness, but for the people‘s of the desert, those sand dines‘s, the sunrises and sunsets, the silhouette of animals, tents, and travelers are so very beautiful.

When I look at this, I can hear laughter! I love how you have shown the balls to be in motion. How did you decide on the color scheme? The vibrancy matches the emotional theme of the picture.

This cave painting is intriguing! Please private message me and tell me the story behind what you have drawn. I look at this, and I see possibly an angel drawing to look very much like a bird, a baby in a crib, possibly signifying divinity because the crib and the mother have white outlines around them. I see sheep and cattle. But this is what I read into it I would love to hear more about it. Very nicely done and I hope you have some of this work hanging up in your room.

Your work is beautiful. I love how you have divided this piece into geometric shapes very clearly outlined. Your use of color is fabulous! This reminds me of the work of van Gogh I love how you have so much movement in this picture with each pattern, capturing your attention as my eye goes from one part of the picture to the other. Very good rhythm!
