Is this one an older piece that you were instructed to use mainly geometric construction paper shapes? If so, you must've found it to be limiting and your didn't explore it enough. You could've added a lot more drawing to help fill on areas and create movement for them viewer's eye to follow. As it is, I am only interested in the robot shape and neon bright border. Always consider the entire area of the paper, even if you chose to keep an area blank, ask yourself why?

I find his one imaginative. A moon or sun positioned in the top left corner...less imaginative. Ha ha

Is this hudson attempting abstract art? Or is it a turkey? Or a turtle flipped over in it's shell? Lol

Good use of texture, color, and shape.

Nice arrangement. My gaze travels throughout this piece with ease due to your repeating of angles/lines/minimum colors/strong contrasting edges. However, I know you and subject matter, (recognizing objects) being important in your visual art. I suspect the arrows pointing downward were intended as roof lines on stylized houses, and the yellow sun shape was meant to be in the upper portion of your image. To be honest, I like it upside down because compositionally you arranged it to work any direction it is hung.

I enjoy your using various textures, each in a different medium.(Mix media:collage/charcoal /watercolor or ink). The back table edge (where the violet & brown watercolor overlap) has a soft edge, or called less contrast, which creates depth and makes it appear farther back in the composition. That is a wise decision along with your color selections or color relationships you chose to introduce in this painting. What happens if you move the horizon line out of the center of the page and placed it an inch or more higher or lower? My eye wants to travel to the exact center of the canvas or paper where you placed it. Not always creating compositions symmetrical might add to the image and encourage the viewer's eye to travel or move around the image differently. The mix media painting is still a success and has no confusing or weak areas. Strong decision making Hudson, keep creating.

Nice visual collage/watercolor/charcoal image. I should just call it Mix Media. I need to ask if you intentionally placed the horizon line (back edge of table or groundplane), where the blossoms meet the top of the transparent vase? What if it was placed higher or lower, would it changed the viewer's angle or perspective? Would this depict/create more interest in the composition and where the viewer's eye travels? I enjoy the varying textures you introduced with each different medium used. The color combinations are also strong and work well, especially since you softened the horizon (where the violet & brown watercolor overlap), so it recedes/goes back in space creating depth.

Nicely drawn perfect circles on the snowman. I enjoy how you arranged the composition in the paper. Some overlap objects but all of your objects move my eye around, even the textural snowflakes. Keep practicing during your break.

I enjoy the deep space of the mountains and barn in contrast to the larger pumpkins. Good use of soft color blends.

You decided to create simple shapes and less detailed. Can be hard to do.

Very creative and strong sense of balance using shapes, value and color.

Repeating hexagon shapes creates strong balance as repaying colors as well.

I enjoy your creativity in this portrait. Is the orange paper placed behind the drawing your decision?
